What happens if you get a Heir in Poland before CW is formed?

Straightforward question.

I think it´s interesting that no one mentions using the elective monarchy thingy to get a guy in Poland or CW, therefore I ask if it´s worth it.

In particular I´m curious to know what happens if you get a heir while Lithuania exists. Will it break free? Or I PU Lithuania too?

You mean before they form the union right?

What happens is quite simple, they won't get to take the decision to put Lithuania in a union anymore and they die a sad and lonely death

If that isn't what you meant, then I honestly don't know what you're talking about. As soon as they put Lithuania in the union they function as normal, and once they become Elective they'll never not have an heir and are immune to PU's.

Well I was wondering if you got both Poland and Lithuania in case you succesfully put a heir in Poland. If it´s only Poland then I´ll recall my diplomat and try again later (and obviously talking in situations where Poland has PU with Lithuania).

I don't even understand what you're asking about. You can't get an "heir" in Poland.

When Poland gets a ruler, the elective monarchy event takes place.
Poland can't get an "heir" because they are in interregnum. All of the nations in interregnum get a new ruler, not an heir (Hungary generates both according to script).
If Poland does not enact the Lithuania decision in time, they will become ineligible to do so due to generating a new ruler.
If they have royal marriages at the time that takes place, the new ruler could be of that dynasty.
But they'll go into Elective Monarchy afterwards, which means you can't do anything like PU them.
There is no way to "get" both Poland and Lithuania. If they enact the decision, they control the PU over Lithuania.
If you get a ruler of your dynasty on their throne because they don't enact the decision in time, Lithuania will remain the Jagiellon ruler.

Chill dude. As I said I asked how things work because people barely even mention the elective monarchy thingy here. I personally didn´t try it in 1.7 because I played mostly Venice. What´s the purpose of supporting someone to the throne if it doesn´t make a PU later possible? Poland is a pathetic ally overall.

The purpose is the reward you get from winning.

And Poland is not a lackluster ally, especially not since becoming a lucky nation now.

It's also worth +100 relations that decays, iirc, at -1 per year, and stacks twice.
