What happened to the Dev Diaries?

Yes, it is! The devs have been busy doing dev things though, but dev diaries will with all likelihood be back later on!
I'm curious to know more about the game, I'm really happy to know the dev diaries will start again soon

My only hope for this long silence,
They are completely reworking the flow of the game from combat to management.
People are fed-up with turn-based tactical games but management games are more lacking in the moment.
I don't understand how underworld lovers usually don't get the world at all. The market for gangster theme (movie, book or anything else) isn't for the guns or blast. It's about respect. Doing cringy speeches about family or honor. Characters acting with dignify. Watching the gameplay is sure not a shock but made me say "well there goes another"
Now let me give some examples in PC market.
There is Gangsters Organised Crime, which was quite a unique game made you do crazy things but you have to do it all in shadows because the more you get yourself attention the more the game was becoming. The second game changed the entire concept into combat and the serries got forgotten.
Another example is the Mafia series.
The first one had action but the presentation was more approachable by organized crime fans. As fans asked more to do in this world the devs misunderstood and made the game more like GTA. In reality, people just wanted more side missions not generic things.

Wow, just wow. Not only was his post in clear English, but he also perfectly articulated what a good portion of those watching development are thinking. If the language used was beyond your comprehension, then the issue seems to be on the readers side.

I played Gangsters from Eidos recently, waiting for this game to be released. It's playable on Windows 10, with a small patch to use...
But I'd still prefer to get this game ! Gangsters is still fun and challenging, but the UI is really bad, the graphics are really poor and I really count on the devs of EoS about fixing that !
I hope that the management side will be really serious as well, with some real (black market) economics behind. (Capitalism Plus is a good reference on that matter)
To be frank, I'd be perfectly happy with a Majesty like game !
Fight autoplay would be a must, so I could concentrate on what I like.
X-Com like tactical combat is good, but not the most important interest for me.
... It's a real Santa Claus wishlist, I must recognize...
