In previous versions of the game, I recall Austria getting female monarchs from time to time. Nowadays you can ocassionally look at queens in Spain, Zarines in Russia.... but none in Vienna. For Austria, as the usual suspect for the Holy Roman Emperor title, this certainly could be an dramatic change of fortunes. I miss this feature, as I found it quite an interesting twist of events, specially for MPs. What changed and how could this change be reverted -or modded- for Austria to have again female sovereigns?

As far as I can tell (common\countries\austria.txt), Maria Theresa is still a valid name for a ruler of Austria in the most recent beta. Female heirs are extremely uncommon though.

I mostly play MPs. In my last 4 o 5, I have seen a pair of Zarines in Russia, I think also one in Spain. ¿In HttT? it was quite not uncommon to get a archduchess in Austria. I remember a few ocassions that happened, sometimes twice in the same game. But in these 4 or 5 MPs in Divine Wind, none. Not a single one. Either we have experienced an stadistical anomaly or something has changed in the probability for that to happen  That´s why I suspect that probability was specifically reduced for Austria, because in other countries (specially Russia) we fail to see that change.

Austria didn't lose their HRE title, when Maria Theresia was the queen. They made her the queen and her husband the HRE, so it stayed Austrian. The game should also be that way, not always maybe, but sometimes.

Probably not worth the effort to code for such a special case though (unless you can think of a way to do it with the existing script engine).

I don't know the existing script engine, but it shouldn't be hard to write. It could be an exception for Austria, if it was an exception in history I don't know. There could be a decision after say 1600 for Austria that allows them to keep the HRE throne with a female ruler. Actually, what happens if you get a female ruler after you pass the reform that makes HRE hereditary?

No, the Electors made the Duke of Bavaria the HRE. Then Austria defeated Bavaria and France in a war and negotiated that Maria Theresia's husband would be the official Emperor.

Once the throne is hereditary female rulers are made emperor.

What I said was "They made her husband the HRE.". So I was not wrong, therefore saying no to that statement is actually wrong statement itself. But nonetheless, I thank you for the additional information you provided.
