What happened to the Purity ascension tree? I was looking forward to it making it easier to run a homogeneous empire as that is the play-style I usually go with.

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
It was basically xenophobe in name only, and the devs wanted the traditions to be more or less independent of ethics. (they aren't completely, but they are close enough)
Wiz stated in the starfish stream that the mechanics of purity aren't being removed, they are being relocated. He didn't say where but I would imagine it now has to do with the announced mechanic civics.
