What Happened to new ambitions that allow you to try to lose a negative trait?

If you have WoL you can choose carousing which has. 30% chance to remove stressed/depressed, choose seduction to get a lover or ten to get the "comforted by lover" status which should always remove stressed/depressed, hunting and hope the hunting dog fires the event, or you can hope that a content courier successfully fires the event.

For the best % chance then of losing this, would you say carousing is the way to go?

As the intention is to lose traits that negatively affect health, it seems logical that hunting is the preferred way to go as it increases health while you wait for the event to fire. Also, hunting has a (tiny) chance to make you strong, and you also get +1 health from the dog, so a total of +4 health is (rarely) obtainable via hunting.

The downside of course is that you'll outlive your children, and spend the last 80 years of your life in regency while infirm or incapable -.-

I would say so. 30% chance every couple years is great. Pick business focus to make a ton of cash until it makes you stressed, then carousing to remove the trait.
