Pretty simple, go with the thread title as the question. Backstory is that whenever there's a new game I'm excited about, all other games start to lose my attention and I can't really play them with the same focus that I used to. So at this stage, I'm always rotating through a bunch of different games trying to keep my attention. At the moment my rota including the following:

Skyrim with a lot of mods. My problem here is that I'm always finding new mods to add and having to restart or reinstall my game because it broke something.

Dead State. Pretty fun zombie killing game, though it definitely has some problems. I've lost a few games I was far into because of bugs, and yet I never learn to save often.

Banished. Good city-building game, it's simple and actually kind of relaxing once you get into a good swing. With cool weather settling in this past weekend here, it's actually a great game to play with the windows open and enjoying nature while playing it.

I would play Crusader Kings 2/EU4, but with the DLCs coming, there just doesn't feel like much point to the effort. I figured the three above games will get me to October 14, wherein I can start a mega-campaign to get me through to October 24, when Beyond Earth comes out. Hopefully by then I can get a new rotation going until Runemaster.

So, what games are ya'll playing?

I am, as always, puttering around off and on in CK2 & EU4 (the former more than the latter). I also play Skyrim for a few hours every other week or so, but have mostly been playing Wasteland 2 lately. I'm really digging it, but I do like the old school cRPG's a lot. I own D:OS and desperately need to find time to play that too, as it's supposed to be superb.

I play Civ5 with friends once in a while, but it puts me off because I think the combat system pretty much destroys any hope of immersion. Beyond Earth will probably fix that since it's not supposed to be a replication of the whole of human history.

Civ V is one of those games I want to like but every time I play I remember why I stopped playing it very quickly. Trying to include a tactical combat system in a strategy game in the way they did it just doesn't work for me.

If I listed everything I've played since hearing about Runemaster I'd need the rest of the day - from some custom modules of NWN to OpenTTD to some Japanese visual novels to typical current stuff ... lots of things.
...
None of which very particularly awesome, thinking about it xD

But I wanted to played Shadows of Mordor specifically because I wondered whether something like this overhyped-Nemesis system would make sense in a game like Runemaster as well. Turns out it needs a DX11 card, which I don't have. Oh well. Back to CK2 instead. ^^;;;

Most of the time:
Wasteland 2, Divinity Original Sin

To Change the Pace:
Silent Storm, Commandos Series, FTL

If no one has played Silent Storm before I highly recommend it. Its a WW2 tactical fighting RPG with some 1940/50's SciFi thrown into the end game. Full rag dag physics and entirely destructible environments. Top 5 tactical RPG. Also had sequel Silent Storm Sentinels. But I could play the first a million times. Game still has a cult following community with plenty of mods.

Commandos is an ancient series usually have to jump through hoops to get it to run. Manged to get it to run in Win7 64bit at least after some shenanigans.

FTL is a rogue like spaceship simulator. If you have 10-15 mins to kill pop it in. OF course some people play it for hours.

That was a good series, I still have my old discs for that. Have you ever tried Gangsters 2? If I recall, similar playstyle but in a 1930s prohibition setting.

You could try getting it from GOG.com, since their version is adapted for compatibility with newer OSes.

Mostly differing Lego games (mainly Hobbit, Movie, Star Wars and Harry Potter) with kids, and Civ IV (find it more appealing than Civ V, especially with Rise of Mankind mod).

Looking to start playing more EU4 again once the next patch is out :)

Looking forward to Pillars of Eternity next year as well, as like that style of CROG.
