some kind of puppet state designer or simply more releasable nations would make sence.

Pushing the timeline back to 1918/19 could be interessting. Revolutions, Polish-Sovet war, Hungarian-Romanian War, Turkish War of Indipendence. It could also be expended forward by a decoloisation DLC. Decolonisation would be the next issue regardless who wins the war. They could also add some mechanics for a kind of EU or a Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. But they don't seem to be very keen on adding national unions to HoI.

I would like to see a timeline extension with a expanded technologies, events and maybe a good espionage system.

I think with some of the new features like "volunteers" and the new lend lease system with equipment this might be fun.

For example if playing the US and I want to support a newly established Israel but don't want get directly involved I now can send tanks, planes, and rifles via lend lease.
Or if I need to get involved in Korea or Vietnam I now can send volunteers without actually declaring war and perhaps have to fight a major power because of it.

Of course this is all a unknown as I don't know how all of this works until the game is out and has been played.

I would like a longer timeline. up to 2016 if its possible. i like to play long games. add more diplomacy and a political minimap. make more units in the provinces instead of the 1 soldier\tank per province. would look mutch better.

Resurgence of the mongols DLC, the nation of Mongolia will rediscover the spirit of Ghengis Khan. That is the DLC I want to see, something silly and amusing.
That or a WW1 DLC but I am certain modders will take care of that.

jokes aside an operation unthinkable DLC, that adds a 1946 bookmark. if im not mistaken they are currently planning on releasing with only 2 bookmarks. i think this is a good idea given the state of alternative bookmarks in PDX games, but i think releasing a bookmark alongside dlc might work well. less of a eu4 bookmark(useless) and more of a ck2 bookmark(less useless). this helps for having the right scenario to enjoy the content being released with the DLC, because not every campaign is going to unfold in a way that enables a good allies-communist war.

in addition to the bookmark i could foresee pushing the end date from jan 1 1948 to jan 1 1950, adding 2 years of tech, new early cold war era form-able tags for conquered nations, a national idea chain for all the majors that unlocks once the fascism faction is knocked out(or given this games gusto for ahistorical outcomes, a more dynamic idea tree that opens after a major peace conference),1 or 2 post war game features to help make the new time period more exciting(middle eastern/commonwealth/indochina post colonialism tags and events, and something else that is war with russia related), and 1 rework of a misfunctioning feature, or inclusion of a nonexistent feature that the community is clamoring for, that affects all eras of the game. also a free patch in line with their free patches for eu4(minor free patch features included)

Captured equipment (Podacat has said he'ed like this) so Germany can have the Pz 35 and the Pz 38.

While captured equipment is a must at some stage (Germany equipped many divisions with captured equipment, especially those on occupation & coast defence duties) we shouldn't need it for Germany to produce the Pz 38. We just need the tank tree fixed up so that it includes a cross section of Lt, Md & Hv tanks at each tech level. Under that sort of system the Pz 38 would be the light tank tech that slots in after the Pz II and before the Leopard. I'm pretty sure the Pz 35 had ceased production before Germany's occupation so there shouldn't be a need to build it. The captured Pz 35's could be equivalents to the Pz II, probably with a different production company modifier.

So this is flavor missing.

From what I've read Germany only captured about 240 Pz 35's and the Pz 38's had been researched but hardly any had been produced by the time of the occupation. Germany never produced Pz 35's but it used Czech factories to manufacture about 1400 Pz 38's and then another 1500 chassis for tank destroyers. Germany definitely needs to be able to produce the Pz 38, and not just for flavour reasons. That tank was used in large numbers, was much better than the Pz II but shouldn't be lumped in with Pz III's because it was a light and not a medium tank. While the Pz III started with a 3.7cm gun, it was designed to be up-gunned to the 5cm while the Pz 38 was just too small to take a bigger gun.
