With EU4 and CKII we have seen many bold changes to the original game, do you think that this will stay the same for HoI IV? I personally cannot think of anything at the moment, other than extending the end date with new events and technologies.

I think that we will see a lot more nations get their own specific national focus: Republican/Nationalist Spain, Portugal, Nationalist China, and Poland come to mind. I would like to see a Commonwealth national focus for Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. I also wouldn't mind seeing a World War War DLC, but it is not a priority as I have a feeling modders might take care of that. If this is going to be anything like CK II, there will be many possibilities for DLC

If the timeline ever gets to the sixties, I think it would be cool to see the European withdrawal from the middle-east. Make it an optional thing, that can have severe consequences depending on your choice (see the middle-east today). For me this is actually an idea I would like to see in HoI IV, instead of being limited to release a pre-defined country with it's borders already drawn out, maybe we could make our own? I mean, we are the supreme ruler of whatever country we choose, right? We should be able to define our own borders and do what we want with our country.

For example, say I play as the UK, I want to release Northern India as a sovereign country (or puppet), but I want to keep some of the land, and maybe keep a neutral border between me and South/Southeast Asia. In HoI III, this is impossible. You can only release India as a whole. Think of this idea as a client state in EUIV. You select the provinces that you want to give to your client, you choose their flag, color, and maybe even install a hand-picked leader? This may not be too historically accurate, but HoI IV seems to be taking away that restriction that previous HoI games had, and giving you the ultimate choice in how you want to run your country.

Add more features to the core game. Perhaps a "Hero" system. Many more equipment that can be researched. Some differant start date scenarios? More customization. A expansion of the OOB system....i know i know big debate

I want a longer timeline. Like 1926 until 1966 or something.

Lots of good ideas y'all . The idea of 'deep dives' into particular nations or factions (like Germany, but also the US, China, Japan, anyone of any note really) sounds good. I'd also be a fan of things that added depth to the naval and air systems which, while they both look good, look less deep than the land systems. If we don't have espionage at launch, then that'd be a great candidate too. And, if it looks like the game needs it (and only if, I'm not trying to start up the supply discussion again ), a 'logistics and supply' DLC may be a good thing.
I was also a big fan of the Armageddon expansion to HoI2 - the whole alt-history Operation Unthinkable thing, had a number of very enjoyable broo-ha-has with that.

Mostly just sprite packs and a few scenarios. Maybe some things that extend the timeline on each side of the game. Keep in mind this isn't EU4 or CK2.
Maybe a WW1 campaign / start? The forming of the 'Weimarer Republik' after WW1 in germany was one of the most important thinks in german history after all.

I just want to be able to immediately invade the USSR as the Allies after defeating the Axis.
I hope the smaller nations get their own national focuses sooner rather then later. I'd also like an espionage mechanic.

We clearly need a map expansion which includes the moon, so that we can reenact the "historically correct" film Iron Sky

I am hoping for an espionage based DLC, considering espionage is currently the weakest part of the game compared to HoI3. There are so few options that they decided to bundle them up with diplomatic options. After seeing this I automatically assumed they were going to create a real espionage system later on with a DLC.
Secondly, I am hoping for more nations and tags to be inserted in the game later on with DLCs and their patches. Like Egypt for one.
And in general, I think there might be DLCs fleshing out naval warfare, putting in new units and focusing on Pacific, Asia and Africa.
