It is a bug that comes up every so often. I haven't experienced it myself, but I've seen plenty of other people have.

Thanks I've been rebooting and verifying/install files and even deleted my saves. I thought it was on my end because I've not run into it previously.

well I've solved mine. you have to have mods disabled. Its not enough to remove the mods and delete the mods folder, it has to be disabled on the start up screen as well.

I never get this issue unless modtek is installed. I think modtek surfaces debug code or something.

IIRC, the player has to access the mod link in the main menu of the game ("MOD" button right next to the "CREDITS") and disable only the one called "BTMODSAMPLE" as it's on by default.

yes, this didn't happen until I tried a modtek mod.

Interesting, might explain why I've never seen it - I've never used a mod.

I might have to take back that "one of the remaining bugs in the game" then, if it's actually a mod bug.

It might be a bit more than that; I only use one mod myself, namely the "Navigation Computer" available on Nexus, and I haven't installed modtek. There is or was a sticky'ed thread from a patch where it was discussed for a few posts somewhere in said thread that the solution to stop that message of appearing was to disable HBS's sample mod.

However, I have no idea if this occurs too for those that haven't ever installed a mod and haven't disabled the "BTSAMPLEMOD".

That would be me Never installed a mod, haven't disabled the sample mod - don't think I've ever even opened the mod menu.

And I haven't seen that error in-game either.
