Podcat has stated he often wonders why we have so much free time to post anyway.

After reading the recent interview with the uber Boss Mob that runs the company, I'd say that the only possible answer to "free time to post" is either we're posting while at work, or alt tabbed out of the game to do a quick comment."

I started posting a lot more a week ago because my boss sat me down and had a chat and said that I was making our department look bad because we only had so much work to do. So I consider spending half my day posting on these forums and playing flash games as me doing my job correctly.

wonder why sherman..
I would have taken panther. good gun, best armor, good mobility, really good observation devises and best steering system(turning while moving causes no power loss, or average amount if turning really tight/in its place)
tho its nightmare in maintence terms compared to others. least wear for steering system(brakes/clutch, most on final gear on transmission)

Sherman, decent/good gun(depends the gun), good armor, decent mobility, good observation, and good steering system (some power loss while turning and 50% if turning in place)
engine maintenance complicated cos many different engine setups used. biggest wear on brakes.

T-34 decent/average gun(depends the gun) , average armor, good mobility, poor/average observation(pre 43/43 models) and average steering, most power loss while steering)
easiest to maintenance. quite much wear on clutch/brakes.

The answer to "why Sherman" is fairly obvious if you read the question.

If you had to ride into battle in a tank (I am not talking about which side or other battle conditions), which of the three would it be?
1. T-34
2. Panther
3. Sherman

If you HAD to ride in to battle...


The simple fact is that the Sherman, although not that great in any other category, is the only one with a better than very poor chance of actually arriving under its own power.

At the battle of Kursk the Panther totally too new. Later really the losses of driving 2 or 3 miles to battle would be so bad? If you are talking a cross country mobility contest (which is part of war ) the Sherman wins easily.

So 9 Panthers to 12 Shermans (no more losses to mechanical breakdowns)? You really still wish to be in one of the Shermans?

I don't think the Panther is a wonder tank, but I would pick that one of the three. If I was a general and production figures & other factors my choice could well be different!

Personally, I'd have gone for a Churchill. Preferably a Churchill VIII with the 95 Howie.
