What does lucky nations mean?

What does the historically lucky nations vs random lucky nations means and how is it different if you disable that feature? Thanks.

A lucky nation is one that receives bonuses in pretty much everything. Historical means they are the 8 historical winner such as Spain, England, Ottomans. Random picks from a list of nations that was weighted in EU3.

I think lucky nations also, on average, get better rulers than other nations.

Just the AI.

[Edit] In EU3 if you started a game as one nation the switched to play a lucky nation, your new nation would lose its lucky status and a new nation would be assigned as lucky.

Not neccesarily boring, but more predictable. Johan also said the you should not expect anything close to historical results if you set lucky nations to anything but historical.
