I voted EU:Rome, the main reason being: when I want to play a EU game, I select EUIII without a single hesitation... and I'm a HUGE fan of the Roman empire. That says a lot!

While EUIII is my favorite game and I sure would love to see another expansion added to it, EU:Rome has the most undevelopped potential which could even put it above EUIII if it were totally realized. I don't care much for the time frame (although it wouldn't hurt!), but I want more functionnality and more fun with it!

YET another EUIII expansion is sheer lunacy. It was "complete" after NA.

Rome please, it needs the expansion most. There's potential but it is unused.

Yet they still seem to find ways to add more things we want. Complete, yes. Finishes, definitely not.
I would be perfectly happy with another EU3 expansion.

Rome please, it needs the expansion most. There's potential but it is unused.

Which is why I voted for it. Rome needs it so much. And I'm a huge fan of Rome, so I think Rome is the best choice (because it's the one I want the most).

I guess the main thing will be to see if there is a demand from the community from it, which this poll still has not proven.

I think there is huge potential to tape on Rome, so I voted for it.

I was disappointed with the last EUIII expansion, so I believe you did the best you could with the engine. Of course, a ROTW focus would still be interesting but... not AS interesting.

I'm suprised that Rome has done as well as it has in the poll. I know it's not exactly winning, but going by the forum activity and most people branding it as Paradox's worst game, it's doing really well. I think there's a lot of support for the game.

Yeah, ohgamer clearly paid you off.

EU2, EU3, and CK are the holy trinity.
Yeah, judging by your sig I can see you are a real Vicky hater! ;)

But you're right. And HoI:ARMA, Ricky and EU:Rome - those are the 'Holy Trinity', too. And with Semper Fi and a bit more development, HoI3 is looking like it's beginning to show its true class... "Our three, er, seven main weapons..." :D

EU3 is the best Paradox game so far. Judging by replay value.
Judging by replay value, CK and Ricky both give EU3 a run for its money - and that is saying something!

Sadly, Vicky especially has some micromanagement issues - but from the look of Vicky2 those may be about to be consigned to history - I have all fingers, toes and other protuberances crossed! (Just don't try to imagine it, 'K?)

The great thing about Paradox games is that they are all great in different ways. This means that they don't please all the people all the time - but I like them all for what they are and most folk can find at least one that fits their taste.

Voted for HOI3. Haven't gotten SF yet as its features don't interest me that much -- hopefully a second expansion would engage me more.

ROTW for Eu3 will multiply the replay value tenfold making all those Aztecs and Manchus playable.

Manchu game in EU3 is: set everything up, go make a sandwich, go for a walk, come back, call your mom, go to the grocery store, come back, make some cocoa, colonize for 150 years until you touch Russians, westernize, conquer Ming. Start as someone else. I've read half of Our Mutual Friend last time during a Manchu campaign. :p

If they add more stuff to do in Asia, they will also add another hundred of countries to the list of playable ones. So, it'd multiply an extremely high replay value already present in the game. Very hard to go wrong with that.

Adding replay value from scratch to Rome which has none at the moment would be way more risky business.

Yeah, judging by your sig I can see you are a real Vicky hater! ;)

I haven't played Vicky in well over a year, possibly two. I enjoyed it more than Rome and the HOI series, but it's still nowhere near as good as CK and the EU series.

I still have multiple CK installs on my hard drive, and would continue to play EU2 if Paradox hadn't perfected the genre with EU3 and her three expansions. What isn't in my sig is that I contributed heavily to all of the main CK mods and some of my research even made it into vanilla. :p

Judging by replay value, CK and Ricky both give EU3 a run for its money - and that is saying something!

Agreed! Vicky with the politics system and multiple flags and whatnot was always fun, and the potential to turn a godawful 0.6 income one province minor into an empire in CK was always a far greater challenge than anything EU3 provides, as long as you avoided gamey tactics.

It shouldn't be surprising that your preferences, are not universally shared.
But my preferences ARE shared. Look how dead the Rome forum is - and compare with forums of other Paradox games.

Even CK forum is more alive... :)

well rome never got much hype on the forum but sold(sells?) well. And to be honest it's a good game (maybe more an mp game? or the barbarian tribes lacked the interest it could have had), you should try going back to it and pick a country like Pontus (which is imho more fun than the tribes and less troubles than Rome). It has a lot of potential and probably that another expansion bringing all the goodies we have seen in other titles could make it shine back into forumites hearts. (even though a vicky 2 us civil war focus is mouth watering)

IF the V2 expansion could be focus on the Interbellum then itd have alot more new things to be all shiny with then for the Civil War.

but Rome really needs it more, as as it stands at the moment its dead boring, but if all the expansion features from EU3 and a couple V2 things could be tossed its way and a few new features too it might actually be fun
