What do you think the next DLC is going to be and are we getting another one after that?

I'm almost 100% certain whatever it'll be they will completely revamp the african portion of the map.

Think about it. They just worked to revamp all of the middle east with a guy who's mod also revamps africa but they didn't touch africa at all. Not even egypt! Revamping the map is clearly on their minds since all the last DDs have been about it. Of course they wont show what they're actually planning for the DLC until they're ready to actually tease the DLC so they've been showing off their revamps of europe since it's important but unrelated. And lastly revamping europe in the same patch as revamping africa is the only way for them to ward off the hundreds of 'it's crusader kangs not crusader anywhere else' posts.

My expectations are that'll probably have to do with the Mediterranean if not africa proper.
Though you are right in what you describe and your reasoning sounds nice and reasonable, I would be careful about assumptions... since what you described obviously does not mean anything about future.

Unlike some others I do hope that if anything was planned, I would have known it (though if I would have known it, I would be obliged not to say anything about it, naturaly :D)
EDIT: and please don't make assumptions from my wording. I suck at conditionals and more complex English grammar :D

How do you get that idea ?
I'm pretty sure she meant this:
Finally, I would like to give a shout out to @elvain, who helped me with a lot of research. Making this update possible to do to such an extent.
EDIT: oh, seems like @loup99 was faster

Proof ?

I know his mod(s) and threads, but he's terribly biased.
I hope you are wrong.
Thanks for making it clear, could you please help me not to be terribly biased? I would really love to (honestly with no irony nor sarcasm included), because....

Could you please show me how my understanding and knowledge about Africa's medieval history (in context to the Mediterrean world is wrong? My goal was always to help making the game better and (if it doesn't go against the latter) also accurate. How is my position wrong? I bet you have to have some good proofs to support your statement that somebody is terribly biased. Please, prove me wrong.

Africa, Mali, rich, mighty, blablabla

The only thing I know about Mali in the Crusader Kings 2 era is that when Mansa Musa went on his hajj, he spent so much money along his way to Mecca that the price of gold dropped hard and he accidentally brought on an economic crisis.

So Mali being rich doesn't really sound that far-fetched, you know.

Concerning the estimation of getting another DLC afterwards, I think they are testing it right now with the free giveaway. They see if they still getting a significant boost in sales and players. If it works, we´ll get one, if not, I think we don´t.

For the next DLC: I just hope for something more general, my favorite wish would be a "Courtiers" DLC, so more to do with the dozen-or-so people hanging on your Court. Sending them into war to prove their mettle, getting to know them through a diplomatic option thus triggering events, sending them on a mission, choosing your favorite to get an Opinion boost and the others get jealous and like my fav less. Those things. I mean, the gals and guys suppose to be something like my social network. I would like to see that.

EDIT: But if I would have to guess, I also would guess they are doing theocraties. Imho Jade Dragon has convinced me that they are crossing of the most prominent wishes now.

The jolt of player activity is just a temporary blip. It is absolutely the wrong call to not put the game to rest. They are building this massive, massive bubble that's going to burst on them sooner or later.
Yes, I think there won't be 50k players around all the time (probably now are much less than 50k), but there surely will be an increase in player number. This marketing strategy helped CK2 live longer

Is it possible that they're working on CK3 and CK2 DLCs at the same time? CA is still putting out Rome 2 DLCs despite working on Warhammer and 3K.

Highly doubtful, they have other property in more need of a sequel (i.e. Victoria III and Rome II) or a first game, after all, they have yet to announce or license anything using the World of Darkness IP since they acquired White Wolf in 2015 and I want my vampire politic grand strategy dammit.:D

Which, in short, I imagine to be between CK and Rome, where CK2 supernatural fluff is a Tuesday in a world with only 6 day a week, as you must not show that Tuesday exist. =p

It doesn't need to live longer. Literally all of my professional friends in and out of the industry agree on that. They are building a wall around themselves.

A rework of Africa is needed, maybe with oasis road and gold from Mali.
Areas like Mali or Abyssinia aren't dynamic. They don't try anything. And Morocco/Egypt don't invade them.

Also, it will be great if Almohad/Almoravid have special event to invade Iberia. In all of my games start in 1066, all of Iberia is controlled by Iberians Kingdoms after one century. This not a realistic Reconquista.

And of course, the same for Christians Reals in Middle East. I never see a real Crusade in the game, that is to say, to save realms (Principlty of Antioch, Jerusalem, Edessa ...). It's always to conquer Jerusalem from an Emir.

I couldn't say much about what I expect the next two expansions to be about (other than I will most likely purchase them day one); but the Western Europe map is starting to look bleak and dated; paticuarly when you compare it to the newly renovated ones. I hope they do a map pass over Western Europe before they finish up the expansions.

"Western Europe is bleak and dated", why ? Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Britain are accurate imo. Most accurate than Eastern Europe or Africa.
