I myself have been hoping for more aesthetics and fluff (ship designs, planet types, races, race categories, etc) and I'd just like to ask anyone else who sees this waht they think. Would you like more cosmetic updates and DLC than we already have, rather than the current stream of what it seems is purely mechanical based updates and DLC?

Silicon-based life forms... like crystalline entities or something other strange and out of the ordinary besides carbon-based life. Or other non-water solvents using methane or ammonia... or even more exotic stuff.

I'm sure those can only exist in extreme conditions like very, very cold or very, very hot worlds and whatnot.

Life which couldn't exist in the habitable zones of carbon-based life because of how the physical conditions wouldn't allow for it.

Yeah, and the new planet management system will probably make that easier to implement.

Yeah, and the new planet management system will probably make that easier to implement.

Why would it make it that easier to implement with the new economy/planetary management?

Could have been done already before as well... just by making it impossible for carbon-based life to colonize/resettle on volcanic worlds or methane moons... and vice versa.
