1) Me as a big army, AI as a small army. Outcome: He dances rings around me, moves faster than me. Nigh on impossible for me to catch and end up chasing them through about 10 provinces before finally getting them.
2) Me as a small army, AI as a big army. Outcome: Even when I am 2 provinces in front of them, trying to run away from them they still catch me and wipe me out.
ARGH.
Literally, my guys can be about 3/4 through filling up the arrow to move between provinces, while a big army finishes off a siege in a neighbouring province. Then they point in my direction and play the 'moving province' animation, and somehow they catch up to me even though their a bigger army.
I really don't understand the logic, but it's really winding me up since I'm playing A New World and am relying on mobility of small armies and it seems to count for jack when it's me doing it.
