Played an Italian GC 36 recently. Allied AI Ger later, which got loads of xp forces from Hun, Bul, Rom when Barbarossa started. When I had most of my other fronts secured I moved the bulk of my forces to the east to assist against Russia.
However, at some point all those minor axis xp forces left the front and marched home, leaving AI Germany's front in the north quite vulnerable. The only bigger 'event' happening was that I took Charkov, but I'm not sure if it was related to it - I only noticed a while later when I saw lots of Hun divisions standing around in Budapest.
Why did those minors xp forces leave, what triggered it? I don't think I had that before. Except Baku all other cities needed for BP where still Soviet controlled at that point.
