What cities have you got in mind?

Hi everyone!

As everybody knows here, Devs have been talking about the European DLC that will come after launch.
So I want to know, and many fans here too, I think, what cities will inspire you to make it?
By the way, I'm so excited with the game all over, it's amazing and it gets better and better
Keep up the good work.

What cities will you like to inspire them? ^^

I would love to make lisbon but construction above hills sims impossible.

Developers should look at the following regions for inspiration:

-North and South Italy (Mediteranean)

-Great Britain

-German, Austrian, Swiss styles (continental)

-BeNeLux (Essence of western europe)

- French (I hope this goes without saying)

- Baltic / Northern European style (the most possible considering where the developers are comming from and taking their inspiration)

Look at this photo, when I saw it, it remembered me a little bit to Lisbon.
So it could be possible

I don't really think that some styles are more important than others, perhaps more popular but they are just different ^^

PS:What about if we vote the cities we like the most like we did to choose the developer diaries we wanted?

I hope also hope south eastern european architecture doesnt get unnoticed, all those western Turkish and Greek cities where the history and daily life blends.

Although maybe not too exciting I plan to try and make the city I live in. Its not very big (~150K people) and I'm curious to see how close I can get to what is there in real life. I have actually seen some official zoning maps that show how the city expanded over the last 100 or so years so I might also try and build it out in that order. Depending on how the height restrictions and zoning work I hoe to be able to do it.

I remember tents from tropico, when people cant find appropriate places they build illegal tents, so it could be something like this, but more complicated ones of course.

Yes, it is impossible to copy it exactly, but no city is, I think. We can just make our version ^^

I think i pretty much got the most important European styles.

Most popular, not most important. There is no such thing as "more important european style". And even then, its not. What about central and eastern europe? What about southern europe? Spain, portugal, greece? You just mentioned the ones you like, not the most important.


It's always the same, french (or not even french, just Parisian) or german themed buildings. I'd say central Europe (Poland, Czech Rep. Slovakia etc.):

Hopefully free DLC along with tons of other building assets.

I wonder how they will add the option for us to not have European architecture pop up in a city we'd try to make American...

Perhaps, it could be a ordinance, in the city and in the districts, and that's would be GREAT because we'd be able to create an old town
