Just curious to hear opinions of others members about this topic.

With SEA and North America updates we have only 3 areas with almost 0 content:

1- South America outside Andes.
2- Sub-saharan Africa (current setup of West Africa is historically incorrect, Central Africa and East Africa needs some content, South Africa have almost nothing).
3- Oceania.

There are other areas that already have some content but a update could be benefical, considering that this content is old :
1- Scandinavia.
2- Andes in South America.
3- Central Asia.
4- Siberia.

What should be priority in your opinion? There exist some more area that I forget to mention that you think should receive a update?

South America outside of the Inca sphere is the most neglected area in the current patch and will look even worse in the next one. That should be the priority.

They also need to take a second look at the religion mechanics from El Dorado (Nahua, Mayan and Inti). These are all designed for the old technology/westernization system and need a serious update.

And while it probably doesn't matter much to most people, only part of North America is getting an update and I'm not sure it will be a very good one. I hope they aren't done with North America after this patch.

Africa and South America.

Id like to see something like a "malaria" provincial modifier in African provinces, with the exception of Mediterranean area and coastal provinces. It coud give maluses like less goods produced, less tax, less trade power and less manpower to the provinces, as well as much higher atrition to armies. It would trigger for everyone but countries with African primary culture and capital in Africa out of Mediterranean area.

This way we would not see anymore European powers controlling the interior of West Africa and Kongo by 16th and 17th century. That is really nonsensical.

Instead of focusing on specific regions, I'd like to see some attention being paid to religions and governments. The problem with mission tree focuses is that they're all essentially the same. Annex area, get rewarded for claims for next area. Annex next area and get even more claims. Rinse and repeat for half of your mission tree. This is a dog that's not going to learn new tricks.

I'd rather see religions improved as many of them could use significantly more events and flavour. For example, Buddhism is quite boring. On the government side, let's see more stuff like Mandate of Heaven. Mechanics that make a specific country very different to play. Instead of the Ottoman harem just being an event that generates an heir, how about a unique system where potential heirs fight each other for influence? Not that specifically, but stuff like that.

What we don't need is some South America update where the main feature is Cusco getting new missions to annex all of its neighbours. Blah.

Personally I would be most excited for:

- An Americas expansion with a focus on South America - bringing the quality of the Andean region in-line with that of Mesoamerica and bringing the new migration/tribal federation mechanics (or something equivalent) to the tribal tags, but also improving the setup for the parts of North America that didn't get improved with the new update (e.g. the entire west coast, Florida, basically anywhere that wasn't either visited by the De Soto expedition or involved in the Beaver Wars). I would argue that even if some the tags and their start locations are slightly anachronistic for the 1444 start (because we have little to no data for some areas at that time) it would be better than leaving these areas mostly empty, as that's even further from the historical reality. If the Caribbean could get a couple of tags too even better.

- An African expansion - perhaps with a focus on West Africa, though honestly all parts of the continent would benefit from at least some attention. Like South America it's an area that just feels very out of date in terms of map quality when compared with the rest of the world. Slightly tangential but if this region gets updated I'd love to see a RNW scenario added that represents what might have happened if Abu Bakr II (of Mali) had succeeded in travelling to the New World (e.g. lost Mande tribes).

To a lesser extent, but still nice would be:

- A Siberia patch - similar in scale to the Manchu patch with improvements to Siberia, Central Asia and North Asia. Some additional Siberian Native tags would be nice.

- An Oceania patch - again, having at least some tags would be a more accurate setup than having none. Also tags with the 'primitive' penalty not being able to build even a very weak, coast-bound naval transport is kind of ridiculous (e.g. a 'war canoe swarm' or something similar).

I feel like a Scandinavia expansion or immersion pack is inevitable at some point, given it's the one part of Europe which hasn't been part of one.

I think South and Meso America have huge potential. For one, they could make a redesign of non-Andean South Americans a'la changes being made to North America. Second, Andeans and Mesoamericans could get mission sets and have their ancient content rebalanced and revitalized.
