I know this is a stupid question but I can't really find a post explaining what they are and I would rather not take a wild guess and getting the 'AAR' thing all wrong.
Roleplaying is just one type of AAR.. There's plenty where people say exactly what they did. There's also interactive AARs..It's where someone roleplays and writes a bunch of words on what he did in the last game.
The "roleplay" part is that instead of saying "i spammed loads of infantry" you say "i woke up this morning as commander of the spam brigade and then spammed a load of infantry".
I've never properly understood why people like to read them, but then i don't understand why people like watching other people play games they could be playing themselves anyway...
(unless I mod the game to expand it past 1935).

Into my sig you go...Not always a roleplay... Ok well roleplay as someone of that period. Others like to write it as if it was a documentary of the events that happened to that country. Like the hitler channel having a special of history of America.
On mobile cant see sigs atmInto my sig you go...
You are kind of late to the party Mecha.AAR means after-action report. So fundamentally it's anything that communicates what happened in your game to someone else.
Let's Plays in text format, an ancient tradition with roots in pre-youtube Internet.I know this is a stupid question but I can't really find a post explaining what they are and I would rather not take a wild guess and getting the 'AAR' thing all wrong.
