Xenophobic Oligarchy Clone Army with Catalytic processors. Master Craftsmen otional. Alternatively Barbaric despoilers. Though you can just get the raiding stance as your first ascension perk also.
You can run this set up as a one planet challenge where you turn Xenos from entertainment to food to battleships. And only real issue for you might be consumer goods and housing, but you can just buy consumer goods from the market by exchanging alloys.

You need to be some form of Egalitarian for utopian abundance as you WILL have stupid levels of unemployment. But that's fine, considering your single planet has so much pops its not even funny when your ecumenopolis has unemployment rate of stupid.

Might want to get few tributaries or vassals at some point to act as meat shields for your gigantic ecumenopolis.

I've been enjoying my playthrough with Shared Burdens and Warrior Culture as a cool clone roleplay build. An army of clones abandoned by their creators finds strength in each other and determines that together they can do anything. But they are still soldiers, through and through, and use conquest as their primary means of interacting with the galaxy. It's a fun build, and the Shared Burden living standard helps a lot in the early game when you have tons of pops. I opted to allow the clones to breed, though you could easily go the other way and just embrace robots and other species for growth and keep true to your original purpose.

I quite enjoy a Spiritualist Megacorp with Gospel of the Masses and Corporate Death Cult. Go Psionic Ascension and Clone Ascendant with Thrifty, Charismatic, & Traditional super-leaders. Make all other species residents with basic sustenance rights, they will be super unhappy but you won't care. Put 5 Ancient Clone Vats, 5 Death Temples on one planet. Sacrifice all your initiates every 5 years for a 60-80% happiness boost and they all grow back in time for you to do it again. You will have a ton of unity and trade value.

What are some interesting builds which use the clone origin? Thanks in advance
I made a Band of Blood with my clone origin, which is a combination of death cult and barbaric despoilers. I went auth, spiritualist and mil, and my third civic was shadow council, mostly for the RP but also for the leader pop output. I moved all my clone vats to an ecumenopolis, made it my capital and proceeded to become the crisis. I enjoyed RPing it as a bunch of vikings desperate to reach Valhalla. But when they discovered that their gods (their makers) were a lie, they decided to make their own afterlife, and bring everyone else along for the ride!

Edit: I went ascendant clones and psionic, and got the End of the Cycle... after a few rerolls ;)

How many rerolls did it take? I never got the End of the Cycle unless I forcespawned the event.

So, if you say no to a Pact that Entity you can never roll them again. I said no to all the others before I save scummed it, so it only took 11-ish times I think? Make sure to say no to other Ancient Ones before you try it however.

Clone army origin is one of the most OP origins there are. I prefer egalitarian, fanatic militarist and just get an early 50 growth on my homeworld. Get some early migration treaties going on, or just flat out war a player for some reproductive pops.

A nice mix of science ,unity and alloys.

Your post got me thinking… imagine a society of clones that practices ritualistic sacrifice… a cycle of cloning, killing and recycling… the horror…

Reanimators and master craftsmen lets you forgo research labs and fortresses for quite a while. Coupled with fanatic militarist and egalitarian you get huge resource buffs. I also further buffed it with aquatic.

The 100 pop cap is a pretty rough though. You need some kind of subspecies to uplift or conquer that also has aquatic. Robots don't build fast enough.

I'm still in the play through but does xenocompatability work on them?
