Naxos, the very small island connected to Athens, has a very nice color if you could somehow spread it. Are you going for darks or lights. Naxos is sorta dark while Sardinia-Piedmont is bright baby blue.

Syria is purple, and Venice is more aqua than blue. Kazakh is teal, Sibir is pretty much grey. Oman is grey, not blue.

If you want to pain the world blue in a MP co-op:

1. France: for obvious Euroblobbing.

2. Anything that can form USA: You want it reasonably quickly (technically you can do it with virtually anybody, but Portugal or an Irish minor with big DIP are your best bets for doing it fast, or maybe Friesland with France's help to not die since you can re-elect yourself into the ground to get DIP 7 fast)

3. Ethiopia: They're Muslim tech now with a god-tier ruler and fast access to religious ideas to feed vassals and build a miltech lead.

4. Sweden: Eastern Euroblobbing done with ease.

5. Bengal or U-Tsang: Pick the latter if you want a republic.

6. Brunei: Send Bengal into India and you can do more SEA/Ming, or split Ming.

7. Kazakh: A bit lighter on the blue so optional.

8. Tlemcen: If you don't want Ethiopia on all of Africa, use this guy in the west or even a western Sub-Saharan, shouldn't matter.

9. Siberian Clan: One of them is light blue. Start with trade ideas so you can conquer Yeren and Japan with the extra naval FL and money for galleys (trap units in islands to beat Japan).

I don't remember if there's a South American nation with a blue color. Are any CNs blue other than USA? Someone could just form one in SA or move there.

This would make it overwhelmingly, pathetically easy to paint the world blue :). Green is an even easier color; pink and orange carry a bit more challenge since there are no Euro majors that use them. White is pretty weak after Austria, too. Red is somewhere in between.

I wish I could co-op, but too busy for online atm, but that would be glorious.
I'll try it with the big blue blob in SP. I'll pratice it and then put it in the AAR

ps, wouldn't red be great Britain, Burgundy, Timmy, and Japan tearing the world into 4 lol?

Burgundy is more magenta. If you want reds, you want stuff like Tarascan, England, Majapahit, Timurids, Japan. IIRC Nizny Novgorod is also red, and some of the CNs might be also. Cuzco is red also for South America, Mombasa in Africa but that one isn't a nice start :). In SEA you have Lan Xang, which is pretty powerful and an amusing nation to use religious ideas to blob and spread massed Buddhism. They have a 1% missionary strength NI and +2 TTF so they can stay Buddhist and get to 6% conversion strength from decisions/NIs for 11.5% constant rate with religious and +1 stab...easily enough to convert anything but Rome quickly and with a cathedral + more stab or inquis you can even blast Rome pretty quickly haha. This isn't a bad set, but it's not like blue or green! Green has Portugal, Russia, Mughals, Ottomans, Italy, Aztec, Cherokee, Ireland and Ayuthaya, but Russia/Ottomans really carry that one while Italy is a formable even with nations like Austria for another powerhouse painter. That's a who's who of -core cost (even without my favorite Mongolia) to go with some very strong starts.

My personal favorite blue is Korea (shame on everyone else for not mentioning it).

In America, in addition to the USA, Colombia is light blue and La Plata is a light blue-purple and Haiti is sort of an extremely whitish blue. Like Norway, but even moreso.

Overlooked blues include Miao (the odd culture out in Ming) - looks nice, but generic ideas and hard to use culture group and Imeriti - gotta make Georgia spit it out.

If anyone wants to do green nations, Saruhan has a great name, a great flag, a great green, and ten thousand Uruk-hai.

Ajuraan was blue until this patch. My bad missing Korea; that's a very powerful start since you can jack the Japanese continent very easily w/ galleys and make headway into the hordes via alliance abuse with surprising ease, and Ming remains about as (not) difficult as ever.

If you don't mind a sort of teal-ish blue, Bahmanis has a great starting ruler now too. If you hate yourself, you can pick Bastar which has a very impressive blue.

As for Miao, you can always swap into "Colonial Ideas" via Australia ---> land sale to CN --> release and play --> sell old self land in Australia until you're an OPM on that continet and move back. This allows an impressive 12% missionary strength if you go religious ideas with Confucian even w/o denouncing Confucianism, so you can really tear up the conversions lol (you wouldn't even need an inquisitor to convert Rome, just a cathedral). Those ideas in general are much better than generic and such a tactic gives you 0% autonomy floor. Sometimes, it hurts to give up your ideas for such things, but sometimes you're playing with generic ideas ^_^.
