As Innocent points out, unless Paradox utilizes some sort of pop system for EU III (doubtful, considering that the Victoria pop system wasn't all that well received - I loved it, but I am in the minority) there is no place for Jews in the game.

Even in the banking field, we are not talking about the Early or High middle ages, this game is well into the Renaissance. The Italian bankers were already a considerable force in Europe from the late 13th century (for instance, Lombardians had the majority of the banking activity in Ille de France in the 1270s, until their expulsion by Philip "the fair").

Got to agree with Havard, theirs no benifits at all, that show, a Banker is a Banker and thiers no real way of potraying Jews as it is realy, because people might script some thing in a mod that say *ahem* them, and most of that period either sew expulsion or, varius other aggressive means of geting rid of none Catholic, Protestants in Europe as the Church did not see the activity's of money loaning and many other things as good.

Also Jew's did not pay a very big part in History in those ages, or very little, and thier better known in 20th cen because of what happend in pre WW2 years and during WW2.

Ottoman censuses indicate that Jews were the largest population group in Salonica (with Greeks, Turks and Bulgarians making up the rest), with their share rising from 1430, 1470 and 1492 and probably constituting a plurality from about 1540 onwards - though if you add up the hinterland, the situation could change. Therefore, province 358 in EU2 could have a "Jewish" culture.

No, there were no areas in Europe with such a high concentration of Jews except specifically Jewish quarters of cities which will just be folded into the city as a whole.

It makes a great difference whether you use it to merely spread the same document,e.g. the Koran, over and over again. Or works of science and technology or even rebellion (though that might have been a bit hard in the Empire).

Salonica doesn't make up the whole of that province so it shouldn't have Jewish Culture. Even if it did have Jewish culture i doubt it could also have Jewish religion because the majority religion would probably still be orthodox (Greeks and Bulgarians would make up more than the Jews).
