You can't possibly represent WW1 without them. So you must either add them, or reduce the timeline somewhat.

Well tanks i think we can do without since they weren't that useful and didn't play that big a role.
What i wonder is rather will chemical weapons be in?
Or will they be abstracted?

The best way to simulate tanks and planes in ww1 is by attaching them like brigades. Dont u think?

That's not realistic though, because there were independent air forces at the time. The RAF for example was a seperate branch of the british military.
You might get away with attaching tanks as brigades, but you can't with aircraft.

Tanks were very useful. The war would not have ended without them.

Are you sure the RAF was independant already? It seems rather early since military aircraft was a pretty new idea. I think it was first used in a war between Italy and the Ottomans, 1908 I think. 12 years is pretty quick to create a separate branch of the military...

The RAF is the oldest airforce in the world. It is so old that it existed before Airplanes were even invented. Back then the RAF was hot air balloons.![]()

The RAF was formed in 1918 by amalgamating the RFC (Royal Flying Corps) and the RNAS (Royal Naval Air Service). Until that time there was not a separate UK air service, but rather they were parts of the Army and Navy respectively

That's not correct according to what I've heard.
