Hearts of Iron is a great opportunity for learning. It's like applied modern history. I'm a teacher, i play it to understand politics and cultures. I would like to see more info about countries. New versions should include brief info about provinces, countries, leaders. It's easy. What do you think? It can't be just a time spending code soup.

You do realise that the people that do the coding are not the people that do research or graphical code.

Also "it's easy"... Are you going to gather info, make a text and proofread it for 4000 (!) provinces... hundreds of ministers... thousands of commanders.
I don't think you will.

It's a cooperating work. Involves different professions. For sure, there are people who do research. Game includes huge historical timeline. But no words of culture.
Only world map consists of really good studying. It's not harder than a few words about countries.

I agree with this idea in some aspects, I enjoyed the existence of the tech tree in HOI 1 which had a little bit of info with it.

The easiest solution would be a Wikipedia-link to each province, leader etc.
Then again, you could simply alt-tab out of the game and wiki that name yourself.

I agree with the wiki link. Since the information is most likely already there and even those interested in reading such things will only do so once or perhaps twice for a refresher best not to take up development time to make a separate info card for it.

PS: I like to read such things but I also think the info that they could fit on those would either need really small font or would not contain enough interesting information to make it worthwhile to read.
