Hi guys. I had an idea but i dunno how to create the code for it so i just hope paradox will add it in future patches.

What about "Force Abdication" in peace treaty?
History is full of kings who abdicate once losing wars, so why not in EUIV?

Speaking in game terms, you can force to abdicate a king without a heir for change dinasty or for many other reason.

What the community think about this? :p

Love it, and I also wish you could Execute General along the lines of the old Nobunaga games. Nothing like finally catching that enemy general that has been a thorn in your side for a decade and nicely doing away with him.

And, while I'm wishing, a Recruit/Bribe General to your side option. Thanks for your god-general, Ottomans.

I think this is a good idea, but I'd restrict it to only being an option when there is a valid heir for succession, or the target is a non-monarchy. Forcing a PU in this way feels too gamey to me.

This sounds like the best way to implement the idea - reduce the chances for PU spam but still keeps the peace deal option interesting (and not just dull).

Ah, yes, the brutal humiliating defeat of Castile during the famous Spanish-Navarran War of 1451, where poor Enrique de Trastamara was "forced" to abdicate his thrown in favor of his sister Isabela de Loliwonthegame.

Wouldn't this mostly be used, to get rid of your own king?
Probably, but I think Wiz has made the AI pretty good about only taking stuff it wants, and it seems pretty easy to make the AI never to want this if your heir is better than your king, and also, say as the only part of a peace treaty. Which means you might be able to tack it onto a peace treaty as a silver lining to an actual defeat, or maybe be forced to shell out some ducats in addition to your losing your king in war, or something.

Probably, but I think Wiz has made the AI pretty good about only taking stuff it wants,

The unfortunate thing about this is that it causes the AI to not want things that would benefit it. Not wanting 5700 ducats for doing nothing except entering the war? Like come on. That's enough money to fund your army for several decades, at no effort on your part.

To avoid "forcing" your own ruler to abdicate just eliminate that option, as it's to change religion or was to change government.

If you are at war with a nation over and over again to force their kings to abdicate and get a PU, they shouldn't really like you enough to have a royal marriage and being able to claim their throne. Maybe you would be able if they are the same dinasty at the start of the game or randomly get it by proxy (I'm Austria, Brandenburg really hates me but they get a Habsburg because they have a royal marriage with Sweden which happened to turn a Habsburg at the middle of the game), even though, you would really need to be as luck as right now to be able to exploit that way.

Anyway, I really liked that idea.

Might as well just include a kill button to cycle through bad leaders.

Not if players can't force the AI to make their (the player) kings abdicated. In addition, if your a monarchy you do this, you lose -25 legitimacy (you are after all undermining your own form of government), and if you have a royal marriage and do this, you lose even more. Put in a requirement that monarch need 80 or more legitimacy to use this option, and is can't be abused. This should also give a -100 option penalty with with all allied and/or neighboring monarchies.
