Hello everyone.

I had the chance to try a new style of CK2 game in the past with a few willing players that wanted to do a game that last the entire duration of CK2 timeline and maybe even keep going in EU4.

Most of the issue in multiplayer I think come from one major factors. The snowball effect. In this game luck can be a big impact on your ability to grow, especially as a 1PM count. Something with a bit of luck. You can snowball from a count to emperor in a single generation. In MP this tend to end the game really fast, cause it can be annoying to look at the screen hoping for a claim that never come while the other is eating everything on his path. Then in order the keep things going we usually have the big guy starting to feed his loyal vassal buddy making it feel undeserved (at least for me) and game get really boring when the empire spread all over the place with no risk of revolt from your loyal buddy.

This is where this proposal come to life. Instead of playing for personal gain for you dynasty until you grow tired of being undefeated and defeating everything on your path, you play for creating an interesting alternate story by trying to create kingdoms or empires that will hopefully stand the test of time without your guidance.

Of course you might still look at the screen while the other succeed, but at least you know that he will eventually play a 1pm count again so you do not feel like you are falling behind and you can still have your moment of glory. Also it help newcomers to join after 1st session, knowing they wont have to be anyone’s bitch and if you a more of a casual player, you can join just for 1 session and still make your mark in the world.

Achieving difficult goals can be really rewarding, and while starting over as a 1pm again, you can still look at what you created and hope it survive and if it does’nt, try to rescue refugees with marriage or by pushing there claim back to power. No matter what happen, it can become an interesting story.

I’ve played with a few dedicated players and we managed to finish a game for the first time. Im just looking for more souls that would like that kind of gameplay since this is not for everyone. Im not looking to make this a huge MP game so just a few players would suit me, but im going to accept everyone willing to follow the rules and and that are not trolls.

Plz click on the link bellow for details and reply if you want to join.

The game will most likely start next Sunday 1PM EST (Europeans are welcome)

You might also notice on the forum that we have other games we play like HOI and EU4. You wont see much activity on the forum since we mostly use skype and TS, but our sign ups are always made on the forum.

I know the concept can be a bit confusing, if you have any questions or comments, plz ask me.

So each player plays simultaniously, starting as a count (generally), and with a single goal in mind (Remove Islam from Iberia, unite the Irish counts, form the Persian empire, etc) before dropping out and selecting a new count with a new goal (Reform the Slavic pagans, break the Byzantines, etc)? Every player is doing this simultaneously, and who the player is matters less compared to what their arc goals are?

Sounds neat, I wish I had the time to join
