What about a Lego Theme?

Hey there!

I hope this is the correct forum for this potential discussion.

Well the title kinda says it all. While my nephew was playing with his new Lego stuff I bought him, I suddenly had this idea of actual lego buildings as a visual theme for cities skylines. Since the community managed to come up with the craziest and cool stuff until now I believe that a Lego theme for the citiy would be very awesome^^

What do you folks think about this?
I am not very experienced with 3d modeling but it should be fairly possible wouldnt it?


I like to use the LDD (Lego Digital Designer). With it I could design the buildings on 16x16 baseplates (=1x1square)

Here are some simple examples:

Yeah this does seem rather interesting.

I remember a fellow chap over at ye olde train-fever forums making a total-conversion mod called "brick fever"

It's unfinished, but it really was only a one-man project. But I think the large community of asset creators could make this happen for cities skylines. It's definitely not impossible.

I would definitly design buildings in the LDD, don't know if they can be exportet to 3d models directly.
If not the LDD assets could still be used as premade for the actual 3d modeling
