Western Trade and Enforce The Sakoku Law

Hello,

So I am playing Japan, I enforced The Sakoku Law as I got western trade modifier. Previously it was used to get rid of that modifier and now it doesn't do anything.

Did they change it? Because when I use that decision, spend points on it - nothing happens. Decision is sitill here, western trade modifier is still here and my points are gone.

Can someone tell me what I am missing?

It's a reintroduced bug.

Of course even in 1.7 sakoku was bugged in that it was impossible to do as a republic...not because you were a republic but rather because of the 7500 RT requirement (IE a bad decimal place).

It's a bug related to the decision not affecting Japan itself. It's fixed internally but not in the hotfix, so you'll have to wait a bit.
Or you can fix it yourself by adding this to the effect:

				remove_country_modifier = "western_trade"
				add_country_modifier = {
					name = "sakoku_law"
					duration = -1
				}
				set_country_flag = sakoku_law
			}
