These people asked for asylum, not for direct assistance. If we were to poke around in the disputed territory itself, that might be interpreted as interfering with the sovereignty of another nation.
Morocco is only more or less democratic to the arab population. Go and ask the berber population how they feel about Moroccan democracy.
Morocco hardly aquired the Western Sahara through 'lawful' means. If I remember correctly, the aquisition was a rather dubious event and when the local population after consultation showed it's disaproval, Morocco tried to gain by force what they couldn't get by guile.
Mr de Lichtaart, I am appalled by your conduct as an Eutopian politician. On several occations, you have tried to sow fear and discord among the people with your baseless acusations. Your style seems to match some of Europe's right-wing politicians, and I am shocked to see such methods apear on our island.
