In my newest game, I'm currently trying to sweep across western europe, but not to necessarily conquer land. But instead, to remove the current nobility by means of diplomatic removal (making them a vassal, then revoking their title) or by means of massive aggression with my over-sized army. With that, I plant a bloodline relative (same last name) there and even if they revolt, I let them go their own direction. With that new nobility, it acts like a seed, reproducing and spreading that last name and carrying on with my bloodline. So far I've almost completely changed the nobility of France (I'm English), and all nobility there has my last name and bloodline.

I'm just wondering if I'll start seeing the "inbred" trait pop up on a massive scale, and if that's the case would I start seeing europe being filled with unwashed inbreeds? lol...

Since inbred doesn't appear, even on same-dynasty members, unless they are fairly close (IIRC first cousins or closer), I think you're probably safe, especially as they're going to start marrying non-dynasty members pretty quickly.

Inbred trait is not certain, even if the family members are too close. But there is a pretty good chance of it. Unless the two parents share the same grandparent(s), there is no chance of being inbred.

To populate all of Europe with your dynasty, you would eventually have to use great-grand uncles, cousins twice or thrice removed and various cadet branches of the family. So the dynasty blood is running fairly thin in those ;)

I like the idea in spreading your dynasty to rule over all of Europe. Get a Kingdom, then start seeding. In real life, this was done at least by Queen Victoria if I remember correctly, and as a result most modern royalty in Europe are related.

Also, kind of removes the danger of game over completely. In my current game, the one ruler who had more than 2 (legitimate) sons had all but one legitimate one die before age 25 or so. And he didn't have kids. Had to use elective law to get his bastard uncles son on the throne.
