First of all, I really love this mod. Thanks for the great work.

FYI: in the lastest version (1.8.3) it appears it's no longer possible to form the Empire of Francia.

Even though I'm quite sure I completely control the kingdoms of Soissons and Austrasia, the game says I don't. (Contrary to version 1.8.2, control of Neustria, Orleans and Burgunday is no longer required.)

The creation requirements don't refer to the titles, they refer to the similarly-named regions.

Is there a comprehensive changelog anywhere?

Is there any way to get an Imperial or Sub-Roman government as a Sub-Roman Brythonic High King? Started as Arthur.

How come the depopulation events work without Reaper's Due? Will Londinium ever stop being depopulated_3?

Is there a consensus on which retinues are best? Amorican cav and the 480 roman warriors one obviously stand out but idk which is better. Been using the cav because Arthur.

Are there any special units in the mod? Every holding and army has the elephant icon displaying in the special slot (why?) but obviously there aren't any present.

Do hereditary traits work differently in this, beyond the increased quantity?

See the Read Me file in the download.

Is there any way to get an Imperial or Sub-Roman government as a Sub-Roman Brythonic High King? Started as Arthur.

The only way at the moment is to culture-shift to an Imperial culture, and form the Imperium Britannicum from there.

How come the depopulation events work without Reaper's Due? Will Londinium ever stop being depopulated_3?

Yes, but provinces recover from depopulation much more slowly than in vanilla.

Are there any special units in the mod? Every holding and army has the elephant icon displaying in the special slot (why?) but obviously there aren't any present.

Special units aren't used at all right now, IIRC.

Do hereditary traits work differently in this, beyond the increased quantity?

Yes. Traits of the same category operate as tiers to each other, so that e.g. a child of two quick parents will not only have an increased chance of getting the quick trait, but also the shrewd or genius traits as well.

Nicknames in this game are weird. That's all I can really tell you. No fault of the mod, just an odd quirk of the game, and also somewhat historically accurate, too. Not all leaders received nicknames that were entirely accurate to their accomplishments.

i don't know if its particularly important but something that universally happens whenever i play is owain, who (i think??) gets described in the books as dumnonia's greatest warlord, constantly ends up vassalized when uther hands out gradawc, usually to one of gereint's vassals to try and curb how strong he is.

maybe it'd make dumnonia too strong if he remains a relevant general but it feels goofy to watch uther/mordred just throw away their best guy every game, so maybe he could just start with the duchy of gradawc? there's probably some potential with that to make playing as arthur a little harder too, with how they butted heads over the regency of dumnonia

Sorry, I can't replicate this bug. Do you have a save?

That would make sense, we'll consider it.

I could see Byzantium's Imperial Elective government could be made into Principate form of government for the player who wants to roleplay a Roman Imperial government that is less hereditary/openly monarchical. Princely Elective government could work as a Witan for Anglo-Saxon England? I don't know much about that though.

We definitely have some ideas for custom elective succession types. Stay tuned!

I Found A (Possible) Bug, There Is A River Crossing Between The Provinces Of Stangir And Odinssalr (In Modern-Day Norway), Despite The Fact That The Holdings And Units Are Rendered On The Same Side Of The River In Both Provinces, Which Isn't Necessarily Wrong, But Most Provinces In The Base You Can Tell If There's A River Crossing By The Location Of Holdings And Units, And If The Fastest Route Between Them Would Involve Crossing A River.

Minor river crossings are autogenerated by the engine, AFAIK.
