Remember when this was promised on Christmas?
Johnson was thrown off-course by various health issues. He's still recovering as of now.

Remember when this was promised on Christmas?
Well he isn't really working on it anymore though...

The humanity! How rude of you. Unless you are paying the man, you have no license to complain about the free service that he is working on.
But isn't the point of a white peace to go back to the status quo antebellum?White peace concedes occupied lands (both ways, and under certain circumstances)!
But isn't the point of a white peace to go back to the status quo antebellum?
lol, dude I love youThe humanity!
But isn't the point of a white peace to go back to the status quo antebellum?
Yeah. A white peace of that kind could be very powerful if, say, I'm occupying most of Flanders and my enemy has occupied one stinking castle that I somehow inherited and never wanted anyhow. I'm assuming mjohnson will have a lot of AI reasoning about the white peace and warscore to ensure the AI doesn't accept outcomes like that, but it seems to me as though there's merit in the status quo ante option, as opposed to the current status quo.
life happens and things change. Get over it.Remember when this was promised on Christmas?
You said it, I was upset but now I am over it. I am sure this mod will come out through june-august (i am severely estimating because, although he said it will take him 1-2 months to finish his fantasy mod it may take him longer depends if he has any set backs or not, than after he is done, I know he will go back to this), I am also sure it will be worth the 'extra' wait!life happens and things change. Get over it.
mjohnson is working on a fantasy mod? Do we know what setting? Is there a link to a thread?
2.3.6, I believe. Perhaps even an older version. But not 2.4.5Which version should i use? 2.3.6? 2.4.5?
Yeah its 2.3.6 not 2.4.52.3.6, I believe. Perhaps even an older version. But not 2.4.5
It is very restricted to when land is conceded - it must make sense. The white peace option is being renamed to a yet-undecided term (probably "Sue for Peace")
It represents a compromise between the two sides, which is more akin to what more commonly happened in inconclusive wars. It would take a true 100% stalemate to set everything to statu quo ante.
Basically it is a toned down and controlled form of :
Uti possidetis (Latin for "as you possess") is a principle in international law that territory and other property remains with its possessor at the end of a conflict, unless otherwise provided for by treaty; if such a treaty does not include conditions regarding the possession of property and territory taken during the war, then the principle of uti possidetis will prevail.[1] Originating in Roman law, the phrase is derived from the Latinexpression uti possidetis, ita possideatis, meaning "may you continue to possess such as you do possess" (lit., "as you possess, thus may you possess"). This principle enables a belligerent party to claim territory that it has acquired by war.
The goal being to make war more dangerous for both parties. If you declare war on your neighbor, and your neighbor takes a chunk of land from you, but neither side can win the war. You can bet your ass the land your neighbor has control of will at least partially remain under their control.
I'm a little worried about how the AI will deal with this.Revolutionary! Never saw anything like this in the forums. Worst thing about CK2's combat is that when you are attacked it's basically an useless effort to invade your enemy, because you won't gain much by forcing him to surrender. I wonder how you will balance it; one may declare war for a single county but actually trying to push for the white peace, getting much more land than he ever could using the CB alone.
