Doing Bosnia aswel? :O Nice, please add Bosnian culture <3

I do have Bosnian as its own culture :)

Apologies if this has already been answered, but will the minimap be updated in the next update? Thanks!

That and more. I will be posting a new sneak peak this coming Sunday. I took this week off from history work and have been hard at work on the actual map. I badly needed some time off from history modding. I will have the topology map, normal map, rivers map, terrain map, trees map, bathymetry (ocean depth) map, minimap, cultures, color map, climates all updated. And of course all the history work I have done since the last sneak peak. This version will also return the map back to the old size (approximately) since the full map is pointless until I eventually decide when to expand it (a long ways away).

Funny story - when I was working on a super high res terrain map in photoshop on one monitor I foolishly decided to test out a new high res tree map in CK2. First time I ever ran out of ram and my computer crashed due to the strain. Scared the shit out of me.

Yep that's a really bad idea. I think ir boils down to thr engine rendering all the trees even in the maximum zoom out level, instead of using 2d replacements for it.

Question: have you done any more advancement in portraits?

-It isn't a tree map problem, it's a having massive photoshop document open hogging 10 gigs of ram white streaming 1080p video in background problem.

-I have not been working on portraits recently - I am just 1 dude!

Will Parliaments still be represented in any shape or form? Like Parliament for England and the Parlement of Paris for France?

Not immediately.

Will there also be Slovak culture?

I am assuming you are talking about Bohemia? I have Bohemian as a culture.

Nope, northern Hungary (current Slovakia). Basically, since arrival of Hungarians, it had Slavic population which developed into its own nation (although using term nation for anything before 18th century is not really correct, but I am not even sure if English has proper word for that) during late Middle Ages.
I even saw a map that showed supposed ethnic makeup of Hungary in 14th century, but I can´t find it anymore. Basically, northern half of nowadays Slovakia had Slovak population, while south was mostly Hungarian.

DOWNLOAD SNEAK PEAK 2

As per last time - lots of things are partially done. The lake texture is horrid, I know - placeholder.

Couple key things: Ever since I added the trade routes (land/sea separated) the game takes a moment to "think" once you hit play. Be patient, doesn't take long. Also since the tree map is now back in it is highly possible some people with older machines might have some issues. I will make a watered down tree map as an alternative next time.

Out of everything you have done so far what has been your favorite?.....if any?

Seeing everything start to come together is the best part. For example, rivers winding around mountains, farms and trees in the right places, bathymetry. Coat of arms covering the lands. The big picture is starting to take shape. Even though there are hundreds of little tweaks I want to make to various map elements it is now far better than it has ever been in the mod (IMO).

Wow! this looks incredible already!

I know there are historically lots of bishops, but how are we expected to play them? It just seems surprising that you have that many bishoprics in prominent positions in the game. I know this was true in history, but gameplay wise...

Also, how will you change religion since most of the map will be catholic at start?

Other than that, this looks awesome. Good work!

The map looks great!

The county of Valencia probably shouldn't be part of Portugal, though.:p
I can't wait to play the Visconti- if and when a 1400(ish) bookmark rolls around, it should be fun trying to keep Gian Galeazzo's conquests together.

Bishops will not be playable in the early versions of the mod.

Yea, I had 2 counties of Valencia and the filler counted them as the same so I need to rerun the tool with some changes.

Should we expect chrashes or anything if we are too hyped to refrain from actually playing the sneak peak?

It is not playable. A whole lot will go wrong. Too many things are 1/2 done.
