Weserübung - wrong date

I played two times as germany and in both cases I was asked on MAR/08/40 if I wanted to invade Denmark/Norway or back off (Weserübung). (Maybe it was MAR/09, cant remember it exactely and I'm on a different computer right now so I cant check).

Nevertheless this date is wrong. Historically Weserübung started on APR/09/40, so if the event Weserübung is set to happen on a fixed date, please correct it.

Nevertheless it might be that this is another WOD as the time span between Weserübung and the offensive against France is relatively small. So I could imagine it to be some kind of game balancing for the AI controlled Germany. Historically fighting in the north was ongoing when the attack on the low countries started.

As far as I can recall, the Altmark incident triggers in March and asks if you would like to make preparation plans for Weserübung. That is not the same as an actual invasion According to a source I just looked up, Hitler verified the plans for Weserübung February 20'th. To me it appears quite correct in historical terms.

Yeah its not on a set date it must have some kind of random function depending on the war with poland or something. Maybe it depends on a Norweigan AI event as well?

IIRC, the Weserübung event can fire from March to May 1940, given you had the Altmark event (late 1939) and chose to prepare for an invasion. It does not have a set date, and might not fire at all.

I had another game as Germany lately and it fired in Feb/40, so it is not a fixed date and thus the whole thread is obsolete as I assume it is WAD that it doesnt happen at a fixed date.

Nevertheless the three transports you get at the same time you enter war against Denmark and Norway start with low/no ORG. Which might be considered ok as it takes some time to get troops into Kolding and open up the path for your transports to Norway through the Baltic, but I'd prefer to get them with more/full ORG. Not sure if this can be implemented though.
