Unbalancing is the wrong word. "Unfair" is a better word. Whichever rival's pack hunts first, will hunt the other rival. The chances of survival for the rival who isn't a baddie (or who doesn't hunt first) is zero. The GM may as well kill him off before the game begins.
If the rivals were cultists in the same pack, they have equal odds at surviving -- the wolves in their pack will obviously hunt neither of them, because they need them for parity and it does not matter to the non-rival wolves if they both live.
But enough about that. Let's talk instead about this PM that appeared in my inbox -- clearly misplaced by the mailman, which is unfortunate for the sender:

Hey, infringement of copy right. You have to work to earn your place in werewolf, like EURO with the Bolded Magenta, or jonti, or OY etc. You can't just steal someone's idea.

Nah, marty99 is not Ironhead 5's rival. That's precisely what he wants us to think. I am sure Ironhead 5's plot is far more sinister and intricate than just outing his rival.
The annals of Werewolf history are littered with many, many such clumsy mistakes. I recall a Lite game a couple years ago wherein someone confused HannibalBarca with GeneralHannibal; I recall another wherein I mass PM'd everyone, telling them I was their cultist, and had no less than three reply that they were looking forward to eating villagers with me. In fact, didn't snoopdogg make an egregious crovaxian slip just a couple of months ago?
I disagree with your assessment. To the contrary, there is no way we can get through a handful of games without someone making such mistakes.
All right, lets see if this is indeed a mistake on his part. I have no other ideas anyway.
