For a long time Batman had been a sniper. For a long time Batman ascribed to the traditional sniper viewpoint - one shot, one kill.
Well today presented a unique opportunity. For the first time in his life Batman had all his sniper training tested. Tonight he would throw away everything he had thought he believed.
Tonight, was one shot, two kills.
Batman had sat in his room for hours, waiting for this perfect shot to present itself. He had been relaxed earlier, sipping a cup of hot chocolate and enjoying his view. That was earlier.
The time for relaxation was over now, as his targets came into view.
He was tense, motionless, as if the slightest change in posture could blow his chance forever. He stared with one eye through his scope, looking down and waiting. He kept his breathing controlled, he kept his trigger finger steady.
Finally, the targets aligned, it was now or never. Everything he had planned for was coming to a culmination. The idea played over and over through his mind. He was excited, though he remained motionless. Batman's life had been leading up to this one moment.
One shot, two kills.
