Today, though only some of the poeple expressed opinion, you decide to lynch anyway. Looks like you can't resist the call for blood. And as bloodlust claims you, two people are dead before you all cool down: Kaiser90, an Imperial Assassin, and Yi0717 who looks like an Assassin too, but instead of finding Imperial papers by him as you would expect, you find a contract for assassinating the Head of State of the New Republic: Mon Mothma. Looks like this guy was a Mercenary.
You find the situation satisfactory, so you all go to sleep an uneasy night, but a peaceful one.

Seeing as half of the people didn't vote... I am leaning towards abandoning today and making the whole thing tomorrow instead, but I stated the deadline will be at 18:00 and if I modified it now, it wouldn't be fair...
What does one do in a situation like this?

As you have done. Always stick to the rules. You screw the game up more by changing rules retrospectively. There is no way you should annul a deadline after it has passed, unless something like the server going down happens.

If you don't like lots of people not voting you can change the rules so that you will autolynch earlier than 3 consecutive days not voting. But don't change them so that they apply retrospectively.

Or you can leave it as it is now, and let the active players take silence as evidence.

After carefully checking that I am alive and the two assassins are dead, I observe that one person is motionless in a dark corner. Rexodia has not moved for 3 days.

Not that it matters a whole lot here, but you have no way of knowing this, because OY v1.0 is dead and gone; you are OY v2.0 -the replacement for Ahura Mazda- and have no idea what OY v1.0 might or might not have known. Right?

Sadly, wrongo again. All data known to Yoshi V1.0 was made public by the GM in this very thread. I didn't give any inside info about Yoshi V1.0 that any person could not have gathered by reading the GM's own posts. The thing about the PM, however, is a rule question, and I think any questions about rules should be answered clearly no matter what. I can find and quote the post if you'd like.

So, with there being 3 Imperial assassins dead now, and another no kill night tonight, this gives us another scenario.

7. The baddies have the traditional set-up, 3 Imps and 3 Mercs. All 3 Imps have died, so there was no hunt tonight. That fits with an Imp assassin dying night 4, since the Mercs would've been killing that night.

Many of the inhabitants of the time loop seem to have become afflicted by a pronounced lethargy, or some kind of sleeping sickness. I fear it is already too late for Chewie, but I did manage to arouse Okyriosy with some vigorous cardio-pulmonary massage. However, this form of emergency resusitation seems unknown, here and my efforts to bring him back to life were interpreted as a deadly assault by both Okyriosy and Polar Mongoose and I was nearly lynched along with a pair of assassins.

Dammit Mon(goose), I'm a physician, not an assassin.

The sickness is definitely spreading. I must try to wake as many of them up as I can before it is too late, but clearly an alternative form of resusitation is desirable. I shall use the principles of Triage to select one to benefit from my attention. Those who are currently active are not in need of it, those who have been inactive for two days will either recover on their own or not at all, so I find some one who has been inactive for one day and apply the Kiss of Life to R2-D2.

About the rule issue: I voted early knowing I probably wouldn't be back. It's lunch time over here when the deadline is, so anyone in this neck of the woods will be hard pressed to make it on here if they don't work near a computer... But them's the breaks. Them's the rules. You make them work as best you can.

As for a vote... hmmm... I think I'll go cruise in the hemi for a bit and ponder. Maybe have a beer and do some thinkin' down by the old black hole...

Actually, I think Slinky is a Wolf for a couple of reasons:

- He voted for a confirmed goodie VLN on day 1

- He got 'saved' on day 2.

- Day Three he was again close to a lynch but wasn't in the end.

- Yesterday he half-argued against the lynch.

Yes this is quite lazy analyzing but I'm feeling pretty shitty right now coupled with a lack of talent
