It used to be, for a time. They gave up for awhile though, so it's only natural that they eventually return to past behaviour

You are new around here, so let me tell you how to handle me. When you have the feeling I am a wolf, then do not lynch me as I am probably the Seer. When you feel I am certainly a villager, lynch me immediately as I am the wolf pack leader.

Oy, don't use the word tradition, it holds positive connotations. Our lynching you early, always, was just common sense.
