Oh bloody hell, what are you smoking? ANY, and I mean any, criticism of the GM that doesn't point out an obvious error in his GMship should be pointed out AFTER or BEFORE the game. During the game you keep your trap shut and do as the GM tell you.

Blocking discussion? Absolutely not. But sometimes it's actually better to ponder what the trait means and maybe confere with the other people that recieved on what to do before announcing to the whole village what it is. Now the wolves knows that we got a scan and we will be obvious targets to them instead of making them believe it really was something other than a scan. You got to think before you act, or post,but as usual it seems like you failed that bit.

The key point is not that the scan. It is the bless. There is a good reason for making it known that there is a bless on you. It means the wolves know it will take two hunts rather than one to eat you. A scan with dodgy results or a real bless. Its a dilemma for the wolves.

The scan cuts both ways. Wolves could use it to find the seer. Again there is a good reason for a villager to make its existence public, but for a wolf to keep quiet. I want it out in the open because I am a villager. I think you wanted to keep it quiet because you are a wolf.

If the GM is outside the game, then criticism of the GM belongs outside the game. But in this game the GM has said he is a player. That pulls things into the game which would normally stay outside it.

Confering would have been a good idea. I suggested it in my first post but you chose to rubbish that post publicly rather than PM me. You could have done one or the other or both, but you chose only to rubbish it publicly.

I doubt blessed and cursed traits have been given out. Ciryandor stated there were no hidden roles in this game, that does leave open the possibility of hidden traits, but having a first day vote give four players a blessed or cursed trait is a bit too much. I think it's something completely harmless, though since Ciryandor is a new GM anything is possible.

One thing I think all the players that received it agree on is that blessing is involved. We could be wrong but the GM has given us that impression.

I am glad at least someone else thinks it is a bit too much.

If you accept that there is a blessing for all, why do you persist with trying to hang me, or for that matter Lemeard?

Both of us are co-operating with Snoop, so there is no problem from our end.

I have absolutely no intention nor willingness of doing a The Phoenix by actively lynching and/or hunting in this game, however, voting for me on Day 0 does have its consequences. I know that for WW players to trust the GM and not look screwed up, you have to tell the truth to them. Also, I am familiar with the balance factor of the 1 seer, 12 villager and 4 wolf set-up, and care was made to balance this game, with the events of Day 0.

tl;dr version: I am running this game; play balance has been considered in any/all decisions made by the GM for this game.

There shall be eighteen (18) players. Roles will be handed out after the last person signs up.

Normally, this would be quite meaningless - when I GM'd, I often put myself on the list. However, notice that there are only three roles listed. Now, the GM's disclaimer is confusing even more.

As for scans, with a .4 false positive chance, doing two only two scans on one player is very unreliable.

I'll say more later, after school. Preferably trying to figure out all this blessing/curse/whatever stuff.

While it would be good to use more scans to get more strong results, there is the problem that we can only use it once - therefore we can get 2 players done rather than one.

Well, I saw it this time, so apparently not so far.

But if you get two players, your results would still be nearly worthless and you couldn't really trust them. As opposed to using all 5 on one, which is more likely to work.

I do see your point, and I would not use the scan results to try to clear anyone, rather to hang them, or put them forward for more scrutiny. Even using all 5 wouldn't totally clear anyone.

Chances are good that one of those four is a wolf, which would make the whole exercise futile.

Also, what would happen if a wolf was asked to scan his packmate? He might give a false reading, in which case it is more likely that he will himself be scanned, or he might out a packmate.
This is not intended to form a trusted JL, this is an attempt to find wolves, one which would have been greatly helped if certain players had voted themselves.

Because I don't think it is a blessing for all. I think there has to be a curse on someone to balance the blessings. And there was a no-hunt night.

And your co-operation with snoop is interesting, but I think all it does so far is tie you and Lemeard together. Snoop may have an opinion on why it makes you both good or both bad but you both look bad to me, and it doesn't change that.

I have put too much argument into the thread to be able to make a credible random vote.

The only alternative seems to be a meta bandwagon on Yoshi, who I agree makes himself a good target for such things, but I strongly disapprove of meta bandwagons on anyone, even Yoshi.

So, since I think I have identified a couple of likely wolves, I shall leave my vote on one of them. I think all the information I need to pass on is in the thread. I have put my spy scan in (directed where snoop asked me to) and I don't think the wolves can do more than hunt the bless off me tonight, but snoop knows the other details I haven't made public if for one reason or another I don't survive till tomorrow.

However, I think waiting to lynch one of us until tomorrow is also a reasonable choice for the village. That way we will all have to tell snoop a scan result, which will be a bit more (fairly untrustworthy) information for him.

@slinky I think snoop has organised the scans as best as possible bearing in mind the likely wolfishness among the scanners.

@jamie One of the 5 is the GM. It is best to think in terms of 4 scans being available.

@the hdk You have the right idea. Waiting for us to all use up our scans before deciding which one is probably better than doing it tonight though. Snoop would be a bad choice but any of the others of us is reasonable.

So you want to hang either me or him because of what? A gut feeling? Because I called bullshit on you? Essentially, you hav decided that I am guilty for whatever reason, and you are making your case to fit the evidence, not the right way round.

It dos not tie me together with Lemeard, although that is a disturbing mental image. It shows that we both distrust you I suppose, but that is all.

Now, I have a blessing and a scan, which I intend to use to use to help the village. If you are not a werewolf, you will stop trying to hang me. When there is a chance of somebody being useful to the village, particularly with a blessing, you do not hang them, that is basic villager play.

This is the first day, the only previous vote was for a trait. Nobody, short of a crovax can possibly determine one, let alone two wolves n that time, seriously take an alka seltzer for your gut feelings, and stop throwing accusations. The Boy who Cried Wolf was a warning not advice.

Then take you vote off me. There are 2 votes on me, yours and Yakman's That is too close for a useful member of the village. Waiting until it is confirmed that any of us are evil is sensible, because of the blessings - Gms don't generally tell players they are cursed.
