Because it creates opportunity for gaining information when it is broken. Plus I didn't want to break the 4 way given that I have no information on any of the 4 in that TIE and if I by chance broke it to the advantage of a wolf I would be sure to hang later on.
In theory it does exactly that. However, in practise it often does not. First, those already in the tie have vested interest to break it any way other than against themselves. Secondly, if the tie is formed by voting only those who already have votes it gives massive boost to the first voters power. And (I'm not saying it's necessarily so in this game; this is more of a general point against massive ties and how they form) wolves tend to like to be first voters as it gives them more options to control the vote, avoid bandwagoning/avoiding top candidates should they be undesirable and it also gives them the potential to switch votes more "naturally" than if they had just voted and few posts later were forced to do so to defend packmate or whatever.
That's also why vote switches try to reach new candidates so it isn't totally centered on only those who already have votes.
Hax, why would you ruin a 7-way TIE?
Now why would anybody want to have 7-way tie? It's way too big that it could stand and anybody who breaks it
has to be given pass if not congratulated, no matter how it ends. It's different when it's limited to, say, 3 candidates.
Do we want a tie day one?
Tie is best reserved for penultimate day as it can't be sniped with impunity by wolves but it also has most information possible.
Never been a fan of the whole create a huge tie and see who backs it thing. Since no one exactly wants the tie, there is too much noise in the way of the signal.
Yeah, 7-way tie is too big for that. Limited tie would work much better.
Don't you tend to write in the beginning of a game if you won't have so much time due to school, exams etc.?
Unfortunately the whole activity level of games has waxed and waned. Not much point to say one can't be hyperactive is nobody else is either, right?
A bit harsh, don't you think?
If I'm still not dead, I'm doing this, now.
If you were dead, it'd be ghost rules violation. Better check such mundane things as whether or not you're alive before posting, don't you think?
Lemeard is following someone and trying to hide from radar? Vote Lemeard.
Err.. what? That's not exactly what al-Aziz said. Besides, I thought the idea was to give ones own opinion, not rely on others authority.
Why?
VOTE AEDAN
In the interests of preserving the TIE.
What interest would be there to preserve such massive tie? Or are you scared of breaking it (and everybody knows it must be broken) and getting later accused should your move save a wolf? Actually I think I'll
vote Audren
as not only was he keeping the less than optimal tie but also he hasn't seen spotlight yet. And in this game it's getting unusually rare.
