Shalmaneser_V.jpg

In the year 843 BC, the Assyrian king Shalmaneser III took a vacation to Israel. While there, he got involved with a sudden tent revival led by the Prophet Lemeard (no known relation to the famed prophet of TIEs) to spread the word of how God hated seers. Of course, as one would expect in Israel in 843 BC, the movement was infiltrated by seers, who with help from a traitorous and rather questionably lustful follower successfully defeated the Prophet. Shalmaneser, having joined the anti-seer cult, was murdered in the night. This did not go over well with the Assyrians. Shamshi-Adad V, Shalmaneser's son, came with all his soldiers, horses, camels, concubines, and slave traders to Israel and wiped the country off the map. Seeing as they had not only killed Shalmaneser but also defiled his sacred wooden stake with the blood of an oathbreaker, they decided to take all the Israelites into captivity and have them build monuments and treasure cities and such, as one does when one is an Assyrian king.

It is now 722 BC. Shalmaneser V sits on the throne, but he is ill and fading fast. After 120 years of harsh bondage, the Israelites have started a... well, a civil rights movement of sorts, but more like the Northern Irish one than anything else. Led by whispers of a Deliverer, like Charlton Heston Moses of old, the Israelites seek freedom from Assyria and a return to the Promised Land. Of course, the Assyrians have dispatched men to infiltrate the movement to bring it down from the inside. As the day of judgment approaches, will the Israelites win their freedom? Or will the Assyrians keep them captive? Will the game be won again by lustful pencils? Who knows?

Rules:
There shall be seventeen (17) players. Special Roles will be handed out after the last person signs up.

The game will then proceed to a Night deadline.

The game is divided into two periods - night and day. For practical reasons these two periods take place at the same time, from one update till the next.

Each day, all players gather and decide to lynch one of the players - the person they think is most likely to be an Assyrian. Each night, the Assyrians decide who to kill. In each 24 hour period, the Israelites will lynch, and the Assyrians will hunt. The Israelites can try to lynch multiple people by creating a deck, Lemeard-approved TIE, and the Assyrians can also decide not to hunt anyone at all at night.

The Assyrians win if they reach parity with the Israelites. The Israelites win if they eliminate the Assyrians, at which point they will probably have to spend another 40 years buggering about in the desert before finding their way back to Israel. They always screw something up, you know?

Roles:
12 X Israelites: These men and women (but mostly men) seek freedom for their people, though as with all good liberation movements, they often spend more time arguing with each other than fighting Assyrians.

4 X Assyrians: These folks are trying to keep the Israelites under their heel so that they can... I don't know, feel good about themselves or something? A group of them has infiltrated the movement so that they can make Assyria great again by stomping on Israelites.

1 X Deliverer: This man, who totally doesn't look like Charlton Heston, has been tasked by God to lead the Israelites out of harsh bondage. Every night, he may sup with one of his followers to see if they are truly Israelites or if they are Assyrian infiltrators.

I'm willing to move it around, I just want to be able to satisfy Euros and Ameros alike and hopefully get a semi-active game going.

I will cop to taking way to long to make this.

A 6PM MDT DEADLINE WOULD BE PERFECT 4ME. NOT IN UNLESS THAT CONDITION IS SATISFIED.

EVERY TIME FOR ME IS PERFECT EXCEPT 18:00 MDT DEADLINE.
