That would be rather unusual, actually.
Really, I feel that was all the time. I kind of look at my fellow lynchees and say "Poor chaps, looks like they're victims too." At least on Day 1. On later days when I'm feeling more paranoid that outlook tends to change.

Franjo Tuđman, (born May 14, 1922, Veliko Trgovisce, Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes), Croat politician who led the country to independence from Yugoslavia in 1991 and who was president until his death.
Having joined the Partisans in 1941, Tudjman launched a military career in the Yugoslav army, rose quickly in rank, and in 1960 became one of its youngest generals. The following year he left military service and became the director of the Institute for the History of the Workers’ Movement. He received a doctorate in history from the University of Zagreb’s faculty of arts in 1965. Tudjman was outspoken on nationalist issues, including the charge that Yugoslav authorities had inflated the crimes committed by Croatian Fascists (Ustaša) during World War II. His criticism of the government led to his expulsion from the Communist Party in 1967 and dismissal from his job.
In 1972 he was sentenced to two years in prison for subversive activities during the Croatian Spring. According to Tuđman's own testimony, the Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito personally intervened to recommend the court to be lenient in his case, sparing him a longer prison sentence. The authorities of SR Croatia additionally intended to prosecute Tuđman on charges of espionage, which carried a sentence of 15–20 years in prison with hard labour, but the charge was commuted by Tito.
In 1977 he traveled to Sweden using a forged Swedish passport to meet members of the Croatian diaspora. His trip apparently went unnoticed by Yugoslav police. However, on that trip he gave an interview to Swedish TV about the position of Croats in Yugoslavia that was later broadcast. Upon returning to Yugoslavia, Tuđman was put on trial again in 1981 because of this interview, and was accused for having spread "enemy propaganda". On 20 February 1981 he was found guilty and sentenced to three years of prison and 5 years in house arrest. However, he served only eleven months of the sentence.
I've had times where I've been unimpressed with most or all of the D1 candidates (and not always when I'm a D1 candidate), but a villager being run up as a convenient alternative to a wolf on D1 is far from uncommon.

Not that I've seen any reason why Arky would be a bad lynch, but what do you think of Rovsea? I find it interesting that he's sort of gone for a soft defense of Claude, and jumped off him once he saw that his vote had put him in the lead.
So, I been thinking and I have a list of reasons:
a) I'm a villager, so when the update is posted you will look foolish seen that you lynched a villager, and you don't want to look foolish or kill a villager, unless you are a wolf.
b) I have a very cute dog (I will try to attach the photo in a moment)
c) I will do very good analisis when needed and help the village
d) I'm kind of feeling you Tornelling into me madchem I sitll don't know why. But ok.

The Sarajevo Process
In April 1983, Alija Izetbegović and twelve other Bosniak activists were tried before a Sarajevo court for a variety of charges called "offenses as principally hostile activity inspired by Muslim nationalism, association for purposes of hostile activity and hostile propaganda". Izetbegović was further accused of organizing a visit to a congress in Iran. All of those tried were convicted and Izetbegović was sentenced to fourteen years in prison.
The verdict was strongly criticized by Western human rights organizations, including Amnesty International and Helsinki Watch, which claimed that the case was based on "communist propaganda", and the accused were not charged with either using or advocating violence. The following May, the Bosnian Supreme Court conceded the point with an announcement that "some of the actions of the accused did not have the characteristics of criminal acts" and reduced Izetbegović's sentence to twelve years. In 1988, as communist rule faltered, he was pardoned and released after almost five years in prison. He would later become the first president of the independent Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
That does raise the question as to why he'd vote Claude in the first place if they were packmates, but something feels off about that to me as well. Maybe more off than Claude so far.
I didn't put him in the lead. I TIEd him with Ramius, which since I wasn't caught up I didn't realize at the time. In addition, Claude had been making responses to you, which I felt was a positive thing, so I moved my vote.
As a quick note, the most compelling thing here is the use of the term Tornelling, which is frankly hilarious, but you're not up to be lynched right now anyways, so...
Don't care about b through d, but a is a classical village martyr line, and I'm a total sucker for it.

A D1 aedan lynch would also greatly amuse me, especially considering how little he's posted so far, but I'd be annoyed with myself if it wound up being wrong.
Possibly the most often cited "defense" by newbies, and quite a poor one. Everyone would claim the same, but we still need to lynch somebody. Overuse makes this a harmful "defense" too, since I always find myself more inclined to vote people who invoke this.
An unusual defense, we'll see how this works out.
If your "analisis" is as good as your spelling, I'm not going to hold my breath about it helping the village.
Not a fan of "tornelling" entering werewolf vocabulary, particularly since it's just an even more unintuitive variation of tunneling. And madchemist is pressuring you as a way to get activity and information from you, which is conductive to finding wolves and making effective lynches.
But that's the stupidest and noobiest defense against lynching someone.
"Guys you're sure gonna feel dumb when the update reveals I'm a villager lol"? that's what got you?
