Werewolf Lite CCCLXXXVII: Fake News!
It all started in 2016. As the US Presidential Election escalated, with partisan pundits feuding and print media withering, a new phenomenon took the world by storm. At first it started as just a few crazy conspiracy theories, claiming that The Donald was actually a Manchurian candidate under the influence of Valdimir Putin and the Red Menace, but it soon overtook the ordinary liberal mainstream media and became the usual output of outlets once only biased, like CNN and the failing New York Times. By November 8th, the tide of journalism had decisively turned against the guardians of truth, and the lying denizens at NBC and CBS were preparing to officially crown Crooked Hillary President of the United States. However, as state after state was called for The Donald, the battle lines were redrawn and the war took on a new nature, as Sean Spicer, Michael Flynn, Steve Bannon, and other brave patriots readied themselves for America's greatest challenge yet: FAKE NEWS!
Rules:A maximum of seventeen (17) players can sign up. Roles shall be handed out when the game is full at the discretion of the Game Moderator (GM). After sign-ups are closed, and roles passed out, the game will proceed to a night deadline.
The game shall continue in a day/night cycle with each 24 hour period (one day and night) occurring in one update. In this period, the day time shall be consumed with debate among the villagers over whom to lynch. Sometimes the villagers may decide to target more than one of their companions, in which case a Lemeard-approved TIE can occur, and all targeted villagers will be eliminated. At night, the MSM Journalists will retaliate and target one Great Meme Warrior.
The Great Meme Warriors win by eliminating all the MSM Journalists, clearing a path for an era of America First. The MSM Journalists win by equaling the number of Great Meme Warriors, thereby enabling them to alter the facts and perpetuate their lies.
Roles:
Great Meme Warriors (12): These brave villagers are valiant veterans of the Great Meme War. Having propelled The Donald into office, they must continue to work together to protect the public from the liberal media and Make America Great Again.
Alex Jones (1): The paramount paragon of truth, he is so skilled at investigation and oratory that he can identify the true allegiance of reporters and commentators. Each night he can investigate one villager to determine whether he is a true Great Meme Warrior or a secret MSM Journalist.
MSM Journalists (4): These shady operatives work for the enemies of the people. They have committed themselves to fighting truth, influencing democratic elections, and spreading fake news. Each night they can kill one Great Meme Warrior.
THE DEADLINE WILL BE AT 22:00 GMT. ANY VOTES WITH THE TIMESTAMP 21:59 WILL COUNT, ANY WITH THE TIMESTAMP 22:00 WILL NOT.
