Day Two​

Henry Collingridge has just about had it with his Cabinet. He informs them that they must find the those truly responsible for the leaks, or he will take further action. The ministers know that something has to be done, so they once again focused on the man who had been very defensive the day before. During their debate, he even claims to have been contacted by Mattie Storin regarding the leaks in the Cabinet. Unfortunately for him, this proves to be false, and the Cabinet sees it as an indefensible lie. A few ministers who disagree try to persuade the others that a different minister is guilty, but to no avail. The Secretary of Culture, Media, and Sport (DutchGuy) is sacked by Collingridge at the day's end. Unfortunately, Collingridge is informed that the man was a loyal member of the Cabinet.

Dawn on the Third Day​

The next morning, the Cabinet members are shocked to learn that the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (marty99) was assassinated in what appears to be an IRA terrorist attack. An inquiry is scheduled, and all ministers are now under maximum security.

Thank you. I wish we weren't as stupid as you think we are, but you may be right. I honestly can't see Dutch being anything but a villager.

I don't think any player is stupid. And especially not a vet like you; I am but a mediocre player. Seems like DG was a villager; a shame he wasn't a wolf though fortunately we won't wasted future days running him up.

Also DG an advice is to avoid falsely claiming JL or seer unless you are prepared to die because of it; if it is your only chance of survival it can be worth trying, but there was absolutely no need for you to make that statement ~24 hours ago.
What sealed the deal---at least for me---was that you first admitted you lied; fair enough you did something stupid, but you could still be a villager. Then you later come up with those PM: That simply was too strange, since you first claim to have lied about recieving PMs and then post PMs you claim to have recieved; can you see why that seems suspicious to us? At that point you could still be a villager and sadly turned out to be one, but you could also very likely be a first time wolf---people tend to do some pretty stupid things the first time they are a wolf.

Yeah, I figured it out about ten seconds after I posted that. What confused me is that it sounded like "I would plaster", as if you were acting on something, not being acted upon. Funny how large a difference a verb can make.

I am also really interested to see Cymsdale be run up again. He never really caught fire even though he recieved a few voted yesterday. Reluctant packmates wouldn't switch to him perhaps?

EDIT: Okay, so we have some scattered votes that put DG in the lead, votes # 4, 7, and 8 from Cody, Cymsdale, and Aedan respectively. The interesting thing here is that, aside from Ithvan, these are the only voters on either of the two main candidates not to change their vote. I would be willing to bet that at least one of them is a wolf who saw DG (inadvertently) making himself into a target, then used this to jump on in the early votes to put him comfortably ahead.

Vote Cymsdale

He was proposed as an alternative candidate yesterday, but failed to gain as much traction as Lemeard, who seems an unlikely wolf. Beyond that, there's nothing I can really say about him that isn't true of me, but that's more than can be said against most players. And getting Dutchguy lynched wasn't a bad thing. Letting him live might've given the wolves a scapegoat for a more important time, closer to parity. Whether or not he was a wolf, he needed to be removed. Quite a few people disagreed, but curiously they did not consolidate on another candidate instead. Lemeard had a few points in his favour, but Cymsdale had none, so why were some people reluctant to vote him? Worth looking into I think.
