The reason you got that reaction is that you were unwilling to correct your game breaking mistake. Also yes you can start a game without 17 players.
It was not game breaking. I had planned it. We could have just continued with the game anyway. Anyway, we could always have started a new game, it wasn't neccesary at all to react like that. For multiple mistakes, I can understand. But not to react to one mistake, that way.
The game might not have been optimal but still playable.
As mentioned the reaction was due to you appearing unwilling to correct your errors. Whether or not that was what you meant, that was how your actions came across.
I was willing to have a hunt anyway later. I didn't say I didn't get the hunt order because I thought I would be giving away too much information. That was also a mistake on my part. It was unfortunately not a very active game. Which it needed to be to be that short. You make mistakes, you do. It's unfortunate but you shouldn't overreact if someone makes them.
OK guys enough please! But if I actually do a micro after one of the lites end, I would like a definitive ruleset. So the hunt is after night 1(assuming day 1 is first lynch)? Is it like this:

Night 0: no hunt-5 players
Day 1:Lynch-4 players
Night 2:hunt-3 players
Day 2: lynch- 2 players/end of game.
Is this correct?

You cannot just compensate with a hunt later which you were told; you were also told that in case no hunt had been sent then you should state there was no hunt. And yet you decided to execute a late hunt. Anyway if you show improvement in your play you probably will be allowed to try GMing again.
I will probably never be a good player. I would be a better GM. It just fit my skills better.
If you just give up like that you will never improve. Try taking a look at the FAQ and MC's guide to analysis and try to follow some of the advice. Then you will notice that you will make improvements. Just look at luft.

No we are allowed to advertise in OT. There are several advertisement threads already, though you can make a new one should you so fancy. We just cannot use more than one at a time.
That was what I meant. I can't make a thread for the n00b game to find new players.
Why can't you that? If the advertisement thread hasn't been used for a while you are allowed to make a new one.
I already used it. The point was making a thread specifically for the n00b game. Getting new players to try Werewolf.
Use the Bladephone to ask Blade! if you are allowed to do it; though you probably aren't. But that is where you need to ask.
