Ok, when I suffer from said ailment (and it happens), I submerse my face under water until it stops.
Anti-seizure medication is supposed to help, but I don't know if you have recourse to that on short notice.
Drink enough liquid to force yourself to burp if that doesn't remedy the hiccups them it isn't trapped air and you'll have to trick yourself to get rid of them.

Decapitate yourself, or ask someone to do it for you.

If this was a tv-ad, there'd be that voice at the end warning about the possible side-effect of drowning.
This but from the opposite side of the glass so you have to bend over while. Works for me.
I normally just hold my breath; works after a short while. Make sure to hold as much air in your lungs as possible. Plus makes the it less annoying until it has gone away. If really annoying you can combine it with drinking water.
Just tense your abs really really hard for a couple of minutes. I've started getting hiccups again recently - never got them for years - and this stops them every time.

I think it should be counted. A lot of games with stranger rules and/or worse balanced have been counted. Pretty much the only thing that disqualify a game is when the GM doesn't end it.
Yeah. Years back there would never really be even a debate about this as long as the GM ends the game with a list of winners. I think there should be a period of a couple of days for players to petition the GM to consider altering the winning list if they feel a legitimate grievance, but the GM's word should remain final.
