The Priest spoke to me personally, though admittedly I have no proof that he is the Priest beyond the fact that he contacted me. I think the Priest is generally to be trusted, and probably not too much of a moron

I was a priests' apprentice twice, they don't do anything exciting with their scans. They can find like two roles, and those roles are kinda boring also, if you ever find them, which my priests didn't in my lifetimes. The priest is a villager with pretensions I think, don't trust him. Being an apprentice is even more tiresome though, you first need to get your priest killed, before you get to be priest. Never managed that, so ok I'll run with the outing.
