Priestly powers in this setup only detect seer or sorceror, and can only be used once every other night. Unless he fluked on finding a sorceror first go, I'm not sure what information he had to share. And if he did find a sorceror first go, he'd have been better off revealing that when it became clear he was a front runner for lynching. Oh well oh well.

Does it really matter that much. I mean come on, its still going to get counted, whats the harm in editng a vote in less than a minute or two after hitting post?

I'd be very careful about editing posts, even ones without votes. Still, in this case no one would have been any the wiser if he hadn't written "edit", so I'll see it as a sign of integrity and a lesson learned for next time.

There is an obligation to read his posts if he is alive. Most people aren't going to bother, but that's their failure.

Also I'm not voting Quift for it. It's just an (annoying) way to roleplay.

For whatever reason I don't really like either of the targets for lynching. I don't want either of them to die... this makes me immediately suspect that one of them is a baddie.

There's nothing in the rules saying we have to read every single post. You said yourself that some players can't get as involved as others so clearly there's no obligation to be across the whole thread.

Besides if Quift says something important I'm pretty sure he'd drop the leetspeak if everyone ignored him. If they don't I'll be alerted to it.

However I respect that you're not trying to vote him out for doing so. We're meant to be hunting wolves not settling scores.

Good point, but as I said earlier, we don't really have much to go on about who is a wolf and who is not, so any reason works here. At least until we have something better to go on.

I say it's an obligation, I'm not saying it's a rule. I don't expect players to be actively posting for multiple hours in a day. I don't expect players to be actively arguing and analyzing constantly. That doesn't mean I don't expect them to read the thread.

I don't really like the idea of seriously voting for people just because they've bent the rules and/or spirit of the game a bit (Quift and his l33t, Vain and his edit). I would hope that people were not deliberately doing this in order to 'cheat' their way through the game.

Anyhoo, I feel it's best to cast as wide a net as possible in the early days, so I'd say we put some more people with a few votes. I will VOTE BORIS.
