I want to ask all of you to vote for ME this election season. I promise to help build up the JL with whatever trait I am offered, should I win, and even if I am not contacted by the JL, I promise to draw the hunt as much as physically possible so that all of my fellow villagers out there can last one more day. Frankly, I want to see the wolves try and kill me.
Why should I get the trait? Well, I may play recklessly, but overall, I think that people can tell when I'm a goodie. I invest time and effort into the game, even when the deadline isn't favorable, or I have other commitments to attend to. I intend to put as much effort into this game as physically possible. I intend to help you help me help us all hunt down and kill the wolves. I commit myself to being an honest villager: The Deadline does not work for me. I understand this, but I want all of you to know that whatsoever free time I do have will be spent here, trying to win the village this game.
Now, I cannot claim wholly altruistic reasons for my proposal of myself as shamvote leader: I admit, I just want to win one of these things. But, I should ask, isn't it better for my ambition to benefit YOU, as I am proposing, rather than one of these other candidates who are asking for a vote? You can be reasonably assured that, given the amount of attention I'm bringing on myself, that I am no wolf here. If I was, I certainly would not be typing this sentence, as it would seem suspicious.
Regardless, I will do whatever is within my power to do to protect this village, and play a damn fine game of Werewolf. Regardless of whether or not i receive your vote, I promise you that.

Seriously, though, we do need to consolidate votes and put them ono one candidate so that everybody knows who got a possible extra trait. I work because right now I'm talking a lot, putting more information out than, say, Cymsdale, or Ironhead, or Rendap. And I'm willing to continue being active when available in the future. Sure, I might get hunted for it, but I think it's worthwhile to put myself out there and actually try and lead the village. Early village cooperation is only a good thing.
