How do we know SoL had Osteles' name? There had been talk about Osteles possibly crovaxing so SoL might have thought Osteles was the best bet to either take out an enemy wolf or an important goodie.

Well, 1 good thing to come from yesterday, is that we got a clear answer to the possible Crovax from Osteles. As a negative.

As much as I'd like to lynch Hax on the suspicion that he was the one performing the IRC business, I believe we have to consider that the JL's problem now.

Now for the early contenders.

Yakman - Chaotic, as usual. Can be both good and bad, I like the clarification, but I'm not going to push him 2 ahead at this stage.
Wagon - Deemed "wolfish" from peoples wolfdar's. No information either way.
Same with Rovsea. No information either way that I see at least.

Tamius on the other hand does seem to try to fly under the radar (that I can remember). I'll go that way until a better case pops up!

Righto. Brutal could have been random (if taken in alone) but that he outed himself earlier means he knew he had been caught. And those PMs speak how JL was onto him it does very strongly suggest theres's a leak. If the JL received the info from witness it's not indicative of leak since witness learns the wolf identity but wolf learns also witness identity - though why didn't SoL then brutal the pesky witness? So yeah, leak sounds most probable.

I'll give mine. Most of your posts so far this game have been off-topic rambling or rules discussion rather than making an effort to find wolves. It's the impression I usually get of you trying to keep up the appearance of activity while not actually contributing anything useful.

Why?

You've kinda just rubbed me the wrong way a lot this game. Your accusations have an air of false confidence that you usually put on more when you're a wolf than as a villager.

If you are a villager then it is your duty to give us the names of the baddies you know.....
In other news it is clear that there is a leak in the JL.... My bet is that whoever the seer is trusting with info is a baddie...
But now at least we have something to work with.... Let me get to it..

You know, a few days back we discussed the issue of GA and Doctor protection for both/either EURO and Hax. Hopefully this is happening.

And also, outing Hax as a goodie is not putting him in any more danger than before. He was already the known JL contact and so was EURO. If that doesn't make them likely hunt targets then what will?

And, knowing this, it would probably be better for the village to stop running up Hax and to stop the confusion with EURO. Does this make sense? (I don't know if it does; I was going back and forth on what I should do so there you have my vagueness.)

And SPLIT, your threats are just kind of getting old.

See, my first instinct there is to sit back and let the scanners sort it out. They should have done that by now, but apparently haven't?

I was contacted a few days ago by osteles:

A day later I made a plan for creating a real spokesperson:

And then yesterday, when euro turned out clean, we planned to kill SoL :

Something went horribly wrong though. Either EURO was cursed and turned, or his contact was bad. Either way I need to go public before I get targeted with false outings or things along those lines. .

So SoL was actually scanned, and Osteles was as well? Or so I gather? Because that strongly indicates that the wolves definitely did have knowledge of some of the goings on of the JL.

Anyway, if I was not clear about this earlier, Hax turned up a villager as did EURO. (I had one other spy target, Falc, but no info - he was gone - from that.) The JL should arrange protection if they have not already (and if they don't want to the possibility of wasting a hunt shouod scare away most baddies.)

Then again, either could have been turned the no hunt night, or that could have been random blessed/cursed or wolves running into GA (unless that shows up in the update). My restless spies were before this- I could check again if randy wouod like.

Oh. And a few days ago tamius sent me a PM asking for more info about EURO. Now that I've decided to tell you publically, it's not really a big deal, but it was an odd thing to do. Just FYI.

Oh also, before I forget, Xarkan claimed martyr. If so, he is a goodie and the first or last voters on him will die upon lynching. This was a clever thing to do if he is a baddie, so congrats on that Xarkan. Scans would be the only option for role verification.

Also. What gave people the notion there is another priest? Perhaps I just wasn't reading carefully enough, but it seems they are talking in the past tense.

It has to be. SoL knew he was getting outed and he had osteles' name. I had told only one person his name: Euro.

It's possible osteles was talking to other people and gave something away but I sort of doubt that.

Ah. Well then. That seems pretty damning.

It still won't answer why SoL would choose to brutal randomly (if there's no leak) instead of whacking the witness? True, witness is once per game thingy no matter if it succeeds or not so witness would be useless but it's still one almost-guaranteed goodie, at least after scan.

And seeing how witness is once per game use, not just once per game success, I doubt witnesses have been peeping at night yet. It would be pretty high risk of using the ability up in futile attempt.

By all reasonable odds, Randakar is the more likely baddie out of the two, given that EURO is double scanned. The only way EURO could be a wolf is if he was turned on that one no-hunt night. I've established that's possible, but I remember specifically asking for protection on EURO that day. If EURO was turned we have incompetent protectors. I also feel like the wolves may not have took that chance.
Then again. Randakar was the one who revealed the info, and if his plan was to give SoL this information, then do this, it wasn't a very good one as he's going to die at some point. Could be a play to get vampires in touch with the Sorc, and get rid of EURO, before sacrificing himself. Randy generally doesn't have much time these days so he could consider that the best option.
Still though, I'm not sure I see him doing this. EURO's perhaps more likely to give away this information as a baddie.

And there's also the fact EURO has done it as a goodie as well. Last year I was scanned by the JL and he told me I was going to be outed. We were able to use this info to set up a fake JL and co-ordinate hunts with the other pack.
So there's lots of variables. No single explanation makes complete sense. However the most likely may be sleeping scanners who didn't bother protecting EURO, who then got hunted, by a pack who should have known that EURO was likely to be protected and spied upon, which would also have given away their identity, but hunted him nonetheless. And that EURO happened to be cursed.
It says a lot that that seems the most likely explanation...

I think we'll probably have to end up lynching EURO today, but I'll wait to see if he offers a defence.
